I purchased that stand from petsmart for a price which does not match the quality at all. I know, for an aquarium stand it's a cheap price but still not worth that money. I usually love to assemble things like that by my own, but this one was a nightmare. I had no choice but to do it on my own. One piece cracked before I even did something to it, and other pieces don't fit correctly. Now it finally stands there, but still a little on the wobbly side even with my filled up aquarium on top.I just hope it keeps its promise at least and holds my 20 gallons. It might be a cheap stand but with far cheaper material for the price they ask for. I assembled cheaper, more stable pieces than that before. I give two stars because the costumer service handled it great and shipped my replacement very fast
Cons: flimsy, Hard to Install

Stand works awesome. We have a 20 gallon tank, and it works perfectly. Love the cupboard, holds lot's of storage, but keeps it out of sight which is always a good thing. Very stylish, works great with most decor. Great value for the price, it's excellent, couldn't have found a better deal.

After reading all of these bad reviews I went out and bought this stand. All I can say is someone is full of it. This stand is very sturdy. All the parts fit together perfect and non of the hardware was missing. The directions were great. It took me a little over an hour to put it together and that included taking all the parts out of the box and checking them. I would say this stand is capable of handling more than a 20 gal. aquarium. If you are looking for a good inexpensive stand I would recommend this one.
Pros: easy to install, easy to clean, sturdy

After reading the reviews online, I was a little nervous buying this stand for my Marineland 20 Gallon tank. So I went ahead anyway and bought it. it took me about 45 minutes to assemble. I have had it now for 1 month and everything is great. Excellent for storage, and looks really good in my house. I would highly recommend this, don't let the negative reviews get to you. Make sure you take your time and don't get frustrated putting this together.....
Pros: easy to clean, sturdy, easy to install

WOW! I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before we bought it, because I always take the reviews as an important part of the decision process, and wouldn't have gotten this stand. However, we purchased this for a 16 gallon bowfront. It took about an hour to put together and looks great. Water spots wipe off easily, and a power strip mounted easily inside. We've had it for about 4 months, without any problems. I wish it were solid wood, but it wouldn't have cost under $100, if it was.
Pros: easy to install, sturdy, easy to clean

We purchased this aquarium stand for our 20 gallon tank. We wanted something solid and sturdy and this seemed to fit the bill based on first impressions in the store.
We got the box home and started putting it together and realized that there was a piece missing. Not to let that discourage us, we continued putting the stand together when we realized that the top is supposed to be pre-drilled, however it was solid. We ended up taking it apart and returning it the same night. We were disappointed overall in the stand and will not purchase another Top Fin stand.

I drove over an hour just to pick up one of these stands as there isn't a PetSmart near me. I didn't care for the looks of any stands locally - and did like the looks of the store floor model of this Top Fin. I like that there is a solid top to this style. I read all of the reviews online and took a gamble. I wasn't one of the "lucky ones". Mine is missing several hardware parts and one of the panels is damaged. Since I can't readily take it back to exchange, I will make due. Fortunately, I have a neighborhood lumber store that can help me out with the missing parts. The damage to the panel can be hidden from view and repaired. I don't have time to wait for the manufacturer to send me the missing parts, so I am hoping PetSmart will make me happy. They will want to keep me as a customer. I order online - and shop at PetSmart when I am on the road - making purchases from at least four different stores now. If you purchase one of these, open it up at the store and do an inventory and examine the panels. I do not recommend ordering online as exchanging can be bothersome.

I purchased this stand for a 25 gallon since my condo is very small and my space is very limited. I know it is tested for a 23 US gallons maximum however so far so good. I am surprised that people had a problem with assembly of the stand. It took me about an hour and it was relatively easy to put together with great instructions. It is a great looking stand because I can hide all the food, pail and chemicals inside the stand. I like it its a good looking aquarium stand. The center strip on the foot of the stand is tiny bit larger than the feet of the stand but with the weight of the tank it seems to be okay with no wobble.
Pros: nice appearance and stable
Cons: bottom center strip bit large

I brought this stand for a twenty gallon high "time out" tank for my 150g mean Cichlid tank, who ever starts the fight gets a time out Also it will be used as a sick or recouperating tank to the fish that are under the weather. The tank was very easy to put together took about an hour and a half, all the parts lined up easily and fit right into place the instructions were very easy to read and I can say that after reading some of the other reviews . I got more than I paid for because if I needed another small stand I would buy this one with no questions asked.
Pros: very stable, looks great

Holding my 20 gallon tank.
I bought this stand for my new 20 gallon tank. It was pretty easy to put together. It took me approximately 2 hours to assemble. I would not say it is high quality, but it does what it is supposed to. I added glue to the joints as I put it together for added strength. For some reason the cross piece on the bottom was slightly too large which made it slightly wobbly, so I had to use a saw to remove a little wood from that piece. Even though its not a great stand I am happy with it. It looks nice and seems strong. It has 2 shelves inside for storage. The price is good. If you have the money, buy a better one. If you are on a budget get this one.
Pros: strong, looks nice, good price
Cons: average quality, could be made better

I put this together in a couple of hours and was pleased with the overall quality and appearance of the stand. All of the panels matched, most were stamped with the appropriate letter that corresponded with the instructions. Everything lined up and only a Phillips head screw driver and small hammer were needed. All holes were pre-drilled. All of the hardware was included .. and a few extras as well. I REALLY liked the end result. It is a solid stand and matches the other 2 stands that I purchased earlier at PetsMart. I would recommend this to a friend for sure..
Pros: smooth finished appearance, parts all fit well together, fairly simple instructions
Cons: pressboard instead of real wood

I bought the matching stand for my 29 gallon tank.
I was in need of a stand for my 10G and selected this one as it matched the room my tank was in. I saw that it was a particle board composite so I used Gorilla Glue during the assembly for added strength.
It went together fairly easy and sat level. Strangely, when placed against the wall with my tank, it leaned forward as other had noted. I used one 1/4" wood shim under each of the front corners to level it out. The shims were not noticeable and my tank sat very stable after full setup. I tried shaking it to see if an accidental tip was possible, the stand did not move.
To the comments that a wrought iron stand would be better is subjective. Is it stronger? Absolutely. Does wrought iron match everyone's household decor? Absolutely not. It would not look right in my home. I Like the fact that this is a true cabinet with concealed storage of my tank maintenance supplies.
I have had this stand for a little under two years and it is still as good as the day it was first set up.
I have no problem recommending this to anyone; in fact as I started this post, I picked up the matching stand for my 29 gallon tank about three weeks later and have been equally as pleased with that one.

Do not waste your money on this piece. I know with the RTA pieces it's a risk, but we had a truly terrible experience. We went today to buy our kids their first aquarium and I picked this stand to hide the accessories. Hubby didn't want it as he said the wrought iron stand would be fine. Low and behold he was right. I would truly give this a 0 in every category if I could. The original one we purchased was missing panel A altogether. I went back and exchanged it for another which was stupid. The second one had stripped screws, too many holes on panel G so that you couldn't figure out which ones were the right ones to put the screws in based on the picture and when the screws did go in, the laminate buckled. And it was chipped all over the place. Really not worth your money at all.
Pros: there are none!

When I bought this aquarium stand for my 10 gallon freshwater tank I was a little hesitant on it. I had read reviews about people not having any luck with it, but when I put it together I was pretty satisfied. It took me about 2 hours to put together and I didn't have any problems with it not being sturdy. The directions were included and easy to follow. It is a great stand for small tanks and I would buy another.

I have had this stand for about a year. I have had no problems out of this stand. It took my husband about an hour (if that) to put together. My aquarium is about 40 gallons and tall. The stand sags a little in the middle but other than that there are no problems. It did lean forward a little bit, but we put matching color wood block under the feet and it took care of the problem. The only thing I dont care for is the knob on the door.

Two of the supporting panels (front and back) are too short by 1/4 inch which leaves a gap between the top of the unit and the panels. The support piece that goes underneath base is 1/2 and inch wider on one side than on the other. Some of the guide holes for the screws are missing. It looks cheap and it smells strongly of chemicals. We spent 1.5 hours assembling this stand only to find that is so unstable that you can rock it back and forth. We will not be able to put our aquarium on this unit--I'd be afraid that it would crash within moments...we are very disappointed.

Knowing this was RTA furniture, I didn't expect much, but this product is the poorest quality I have seen. The top of the stand, where your 200 lb. aquarium will rest, is merely sawdust held together with glue binder. The hardware stripped out of the holes with 2/3 turns of the screwdriver. The holes are not drilled to the correct depth to accept the cam lock hardware and the pieces that are put together with wood screws are not evenly matched so the top simply will not rest level. If I could give a negative rating, I would.

We puchased this product yesterday. It took approximately 2 hrs to put it together. The laminate on some of the pieces appears to be peeling away from the particle board. The door has two dents in the front. I would return it to the store if it weren't for the fact that my Aquarium needs something to sit on...now. Not pleased with this purchase at all
