My betta was starting to look a bit faded after some stress of a few fish in the community tank so he was separated and fed just this food for a few days before we moved the other fish to a new tank so he could be back in his regular space. In under a week his color returned and he looked much better! This floating formula is nice if your betta doesn't finish the food in a timely manner you can just net up or scoop up any left overs so it won't linger in the tank.

This product is good, but not as good as Omega's or those other brands.

Pellets are a bit too big for my betta, but he knows how to eat them, so its not a problem.

Color on my betta did en enhance a little, but not much. Good as a backup food.

I have three three Betta fish: Miso, Maki, and Obi. NONE of them eat this food. When I first tried it, they would grab the bits and immediately spit them out. I thought since the pieces are kind of large, I'd break them and see if that helped, but it didn't. Even now that all three fish are large enough to eat the big pieces, they don't. The food does float fairly well, and I don't think it dirties their water like the flakes do. But I'm very disappointed that it's not appetizing to any of my fish. I'm currently feeding them a mixture of Nutrafin Betta Flakes and dried bloodworms. I continue to drop in a couple of these bits to see if they'll eat them, but they never do. When I need more fish food, I will try a different brand of bits to see if they like it any better.

They pellets are little too big for my betta he spits them out and swallows them and spits them out again. It's weird but I hope he will begin to actually eat them but at least I can get him to eat blood worms so he's nto starving.

Well, let me start out by saying that my Betta, Atlas absolutely LOVES this food!!! The pellets are a perfect size and have no odor at all! When the label said "color enhancing" I didn't believe it, but after a few weeks of eating his favorite food, his solid blue color shows hints of reds, teals, and purples. This food is great-for beauty, fish, and owner. I recommend this to anyone with a betta.

I think the pellets are a little too big even for my fully grown male betta's mouth. I see him spit up as soon as he takes one into mouth. So I crush them and feed little bits & he seem to like it. Smell isn't as awful as the flakes.

Hey. I would like to say that this is the only pellet food my betta will eat. It has worked great and I am very happy he will eat these. I really wish I could give it 10 stars! This is the only brand I would ever recommend! No cons at all.

my betta loves this food!! give them it 1 by 1 cause bettas don't always eat their food right away. and if u don't do it 1 by 1 it will cloud the water. My betta isn't that old but everyday the colors just get prettier and prettier!!!! GET THIS FOOD!!

When I bought my crowntail betta fish I bought this food for him, but he wouldn't eat it. I tried feeding it to him for a week, and everyday he'd either ignore it completely or bite it and then spit it out. I switched to freeze dried blood worms, he loves them. My old betta fish did too, so if you need a reliable food for betta fish, pick freeze dried bloodworms.

I recently bought Betta pellets for my fish. They were reasonably priced but my Betta spit them out. They were hard as a rock and he couldn't swallow them whole. I would recommend the flakes because they are softer and can be ground for Bettas with smaller mouths like mine.

I've been feeding these (and just these) to my male Betta for about five months now and they work just fine. I don't really like the twisty cap though. It makes it hard to get out the correct amount, and if putting the extra's back in is a bit difficult. But that's just me being nitpicky! Otherwise, these work just great :)

I gave my Betta fish freeze dried blood-worms but she didn't like them so I got this. She LUVS it! She ate 12 in 10 seconds! Now I only give her 3 which is enough. It smells a sorta bad, but my fish loves it!!! Would highly recommend this fish food. :)

It seems to keep my Crowntail Betta looking healthy. He seems to eat but sometimes he doesn't and just lets them float to the bottom which makes the fish tank dirtier and more cloudy.

My beta fish seems pretty happy with this food - it's the only thing I have been feeding him, though I'm planning on buying another type of food (like freeze-dried blood worms). I've read on other sites that a variety of different types of food is best for your beta and will help him become a strong, healthy, and beautiful fish.

A beta's fish stomach is only the size of their eyes, so about 3 of these will fill him up. I also heard that it's recommended that your fish goes through a fast - once a week don't feed the fish (or only feed him once instead of twice a day) to let their digestive system work itself out. This helps avoid constipation for your fish.
