I think the trick to this is watching how much air you let pass through it. I have it and the house with the waterwheel in my 55 gallon tank. My Discus just love it.

I asked the employee at the pet shop, she said it was supposed to have an illusion of water trickling down, but when I got it home and set it up, it does not. At first the bubbles came out evenly, but after a few days it only came out of one side. Then bubbles starting coming out of the front? I guess the plastic piece was not attached to the part good enough? Taking it back!!! Also impossible to clean between the plastic piece.

We have had this product for a couple of years now. We have replaced the air stone, re-siliconed the base, and replaced the tubing. Although it functions as stated, there is a design flaw that allows the bubbles to gather at the bottom and then be release as one large "glug" rather than a nice steady stream. It is this defect that makes it loud and distracting, instead of soothing and peaceful.

I purchased this for my betta's 5 gallon tank and it looks amazing. I didn't buy this online but at a local Petsmart and there were two on the shelf. Taking into account what others have said about the bubbles coming out unevenly, I inspected them carefully. One of them was uneven where the bubbles come out and the other one was perfectly straight across, so I chose this one. I arranged the airstone so that it was sitting at a diagonal rather than completely vertical or horizontal. Luckily, it worked perfectly. My betta loves to swim through the bubbles as well as rest at the bottom of the waterfall.

I loved how it looks in a aquarium it really makes a nice natural center piece. Perfect for twenty gallons and up. The fish are not scared of the bubbles and the African Dwarf frogs like to sleep on the branches and stones.

The glue on the tiny trees and on the air tube really bothered me. There are several hanging pieces. You have to pick off most of it. That was sloppily done but the glue goes away.

Pros: durable, stylish

This product is average, it looks great in my 20 gal. tank. I haven't set up the air stone, im curios to see how it turns out. I believe the cooler is starting to fade only a littler bit. Also there no place for a fish to hide, so i guess its just for looks....

A piece of art work. My heart-shape blood parrot cichlids like to swim there watching the bubble flow. It enlights the whole aquarium. Worth the investment.

This product looks great but has a few flaws, like the air stone clogs up. I also broke it a few times but easy to replace. The biggest complant is try to clean behind the plastic water fall which is almost impossible.

I bought the cliff and as like everyone else I thought that it would look great in my aquarium. I've used TopFin products before without any problems other than the fact that the color sometimes does not stay on the product. I had palm trees that had white trunks.... I installed the cliff with a couple of other bonsai pieces and of course there are no bubbles. I took it out and then realized that the glue that was used, to put the aerator in with, was all over it and like someone else had in their review, they do wear out and have to be replaced. I ended up having to break the aerator loose and then go buy a new one to install. POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP!

In looking at this before purchase I noticed how the airstone was attached and I do know that airstones wear out, I'm thinking I'll be able to reattach a new one when needed. I must say my Parrots are simply thrilled with it, they love watching the bubbles go up, I guess they are just nosey! If alge becomes a problen with the waterfall I'll try a slender brush for cleaning.

This is a very beautiful piece to look at, but after a month or so, that's all it's good for. The airstone plugs up and because of the way it's made...you can't get to it to clean it. So, basically, it just looks pretty...no air...but still very pretty.

This does not at all resemble a waterfall when aerated. You can barely see the air bubbles, but when you do, they are obviously flowing upward. I was VERY disappointed when I connected this. For the price, you can find much nicer aquarium decorations.
