still get high readings after use. Have not tried other brands yet but hope there is a better result.
Someone wrote that it is not a "remover", guess they need to change the name then. But that same review says that it changes bad ammonia to good ammonia...hmmm NH3 is NH3 there is no "good" ammonia. The ingred should combine with NH3 to form another compound safe for fish but should not continue to show up as ammonia on a test kit.

While this ammonia remover is inexpensive, it is also ineffective. After multiple doses over the course of a week, I saw no change at all in the levels of ammonia. On the plus side, the measuring cap is very convenient and helpful.

This product works extremely well and is very easy to use. The directions are super simple. The product doesn't seem to bother my fish at all either as long as its used as directed. I highly recommend this product.

This product is designed to Neutralize ammonia to a non-toxic state. This product IS NOT an actual remover. Those of you who think the ammonia will 'disappear' are mistaken. Ammo will still show on test readings, but it is in a non-toxic state. Great for use during an ammo spike but not long-term. This is just a safe way to let your bacteria do it's job without harming the fish. Keep watching your ammonia levels and be prepared for a water change if the ammonia spike does not subside. Top Fin Ammonia Remover

The product I normally use was out of stock so I tried Top Fin ammonia remover. I followed the directions on the bottle and tried it on one of my ten gallon tanks. It did nothing at all to improve the condition of the tank. I also tried it on one of my 1 gal. tanks and had the same result,,,nothing.

The product I normally use, and I use it under the same circumstances, eliminates my ammonia problem compltely. Top Fin didn't even touch the problem.
