I was having so many problems with getting my nitrate levels down in my tank (29 gallon). I was doing weekly water changes, cut down on feeding to every other day but my nitrates would not go down and I was losing fish. I tried some product that you put in the filter to bring the nitrates down and it didn't work either. Then I bought this product and I add it to my water when I do my weekly water changes and my nitrates dropped dramatically! My fish aren't dying now and my nitrate levels are down and are staying down- about 10ppm. I will always use this product and I highly recommend it.

I dislike this product because you have to add it on a regular basis and it starves the bacteria culture so cycling will not occur.

First off i love topfin and their products, thats what made me try this. Unfortunately i didn't have good results. I used this product to help cycle my ten gallon aquarium. The cycle wasn't sped up whatsoever and i noticed no benefits of using this product. The only thing this product did that i appreciated is its useful measuring cup on top of the bottle. It can be helpful for water de chlorinators. I say do things the old fashioned way and cycle the tank properly, save your money.

Great for Bacterial Bloom!

I spent a month trying to clear my usually clear 55 gallon tank. It had been cloudy ever since being gone for a week and using thar 10 day feeding tablet. I did water changes....filter media changes and ever tried a water clear solution. Water still would be cloudy. Finally I changed 50% of the water...cleaned all the decorations and even bought a new filter. After being clear for a few hours...I had a white fog worse than ever! I knew I went to far with the cleaning. I waited a day but it remained the same. I put in the bacterial supplement (good bacteria) before bed and in the am the tank was crystal clear. A week later and it still looks wonderful and fish are well. I never saw this product mentioned in any forum I went to for advice but it sure did the trick!

I used it after every time changed the water (10G).It keep water clear over 2 weeks if you not over feed your fish. I have 6 messy goldfish (each over 5 inch) and one up to 10g power filter, you can feel my pain befor I use this supplement. Now, my tank always clear and crystal.

I recommend this product! ( before use it remove your carb. )

This product is great if you don't want to wait a month for your tank to cycle. Cycling your tank means to build up the "good" bacteria in your tank so it could break down the fish food waste and the fish waste. If you get this product, your tank would be cycle in a day.

i purchased this supplement today for my brand new top fin 10 gallon aquariam for my future community tank. i though some in and it is working so far. i did not trust the cap for mesureing so i used the cap on my top fin water conditioner the dosages are so easy!

5 mL per 5 gal.
SO EASY!

Bacteria Supplement is food for your bacteria living in your filters that lower toxic Amonia levels. You only need to add this every other day for a month if you are starting a new aquarium.(this helps your good bacteria build up). Also add this whenever you do a water change because you remove water and bacteria in the process.

Pros: very effective, easy and quick, comes with a measuring cap, bottle will last you a long time

Cons: nothing i'm dead serious

This product is fine, but it has a lot of kinks. First, you have to wait 15 minutes after adding a water conditioner. Next, its unwieldy to use. Get something better, like Stability.
