I recently bought the filter cart. that you have to assemble. My water is not nearly as clear as it was when I bought these preassembled cartridges. So, you are paying more but getting far better results.

This product has good filtration. But when you take it our of the filter it can be quite nasty if you don't change it often. It can also break apart if you don't change it for 3 months or so. Change it about every month.
Pros: good filtration
