I purchased the Large Air Stone Disk at my local PetSmart. I followed the instructions and soaked it for 1 hour prior to sending air to it. It has now soaked for 3 hours and I still have not seen 1 bubble. I am using a Fluval pump for up to 80 gallons. It has a dual port. 1 port is directing bubbles to a large long blue airstone and it is work wonderfully. The other port is directing air to the disk. I have switched ports but the disk still will not bubble.
I'm going to let is soak over night and see if that helps. Otherwise, I guess it will become a return. Before I purchased I read all the great reviews, perhaps I just picked up a defective one.
I'll let you know how it goes.

So, I needed an Airstone that would produce a lot of bubbles at once, and that's what I got! The Round Airstone is perfect, it supplies oxygen into the water improving my fishes health, while regulating water temperature, and agitating the waters surface! AMAZING!

Good Air Stone. Produces a lot of bubbles, does not need weights or suction cups to keep it from floating. Perfect match for my Tetra 100 Air Pump.

I am very happy with this bubbler. We set up a 60 gallon aquarium with our children, and this airstone worked perfectly. We couldn't be happier.

I didn't know this was suppose to be buried under gravel until I read the directions, then I did so and it makes lots of bubbles,now I installed on the center of my tank and it looks cool, I am an amateur in this so I am still learning :P it is quiet and is inexpensive too.

I bought this to replace a bubbler decoration that was overpowering my tank. The bubbles would build up under the lid of a treasure chest and then release in one huge blast. However, this air stone works great. There is a constant pillar of small bubbles that does not disturb the water too violently.

You can expect this product to work perfectly like it should. The most reliable air stone you can buy (look at the other reviews as well). Air stones RARELY get 5 stars because people expect so much of them. And to a point they should expect it, but this one is a PROVEN WINNER.
You expect a nice gentle flow of airs in a pillar shape and that is what you get. It is best to bury under gravel but its not as crucial as some claim. Just take care of your tank and do not let excessive algae take over.
People be warned about air stones and bubblers of all kinds. Once algae moves into the thousands of pores in your airstone. Its as good as trash.

This finally works the best! I have tried bubbles wands that were not too bad and airstones but they both needed to be perfectly level. This airstone works so much better, it doesn't have to be level to put out lots of bubbles and it takes up less space. It produces smaller bubbles which do a better job of ridding toxic by-products from the water. My 30 gallon goldfish tank went from trace amounts of ammonia to zero in just one day. It also has a good weight to it and needs no suction cups to stay on the bottom.

This product is way better than the stones that you suction cup to the side of the tank. I have mine set up so that it looks like the bubbles are coming out of my reef. BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would recommend this product, because it works great. I think with the use of this product, it cuts down on the ammonia levels, and stabilizes the pH as well as providing much needed oxygen to the freshwater fish. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that sometimes algae will deposit on the stone itself and it is hard to get off, but I will leave that up to my Plecostomus and Chinese Algae Eater to take care of that problem.

This stone is very nice. BIG too. Make sure you use a flow valve in your airline tubing otherwise it's too strong. I first set up mine without one and the next morning the surface of the water was so aggitated there was a 2 inch thick blanket of froth from end to end.

I have sand in my aquarium and didn't think I would be able to use one of these but a sales lady at petsmart suggested I put it up against the back of my tank against the glass sideways, so I tried it and it has worked out wonderfully it has a cascade of bubbles and looks great. I also have one in my 30 gallon and under the rock it works great with many bubbles coming up. Wonderful product.
