This product does not work. We have been giving this product to our puppy for over a month now and she is still eating her feces.

I bought Deter after my Vet recommended it for my 5 lb Chihuahua. She's been on it for 2 months and I give her 3 tablets a day and she still continues to eat her poo just as much as she did before putting her on Deter.

Our new rescue dog had a very bad habit and probably for a long time. After 2 or 3 days she seems to have stopped the habit. She ate the first tablet but wasn't that interested in others so I place them in a bite of hotdog. She is a little picky of an eater though. Yes the feces smells bad. I'm hoping to continue for a month or so and try stopping. She seems to need a bath about once a week due to smell. I don't know if the product effects this or not. I'm guessing no but not sure. The active ingrediant is MSG. Don't bother trying to feed another way. The tablets are just too easy and premeasured, imho. Good luck.

When we got our papillon puppy we knew they liked to be clean - but wasn't prepared for poo eating. We have figured out she is just cleaning her area. We've tried a few different products which all failed. After not having success we were leary about spending the money on this product but so glad we did. It didn't take but a day for her to leave her poo alone! We offer it daily as a treat which gets gobbled up. We are continuing to use it just for reinforcement. She still sniffs occasionally but hasn't gone beyond the initial sniff.

My niece's little Papillion would "do her business" and then turn around and eat the end product. Disgusting! I purchased Deter sort of not believing that it would work. However, it really did work--she stopped her nasty habit. Also, there was no trouble getting the little dog to take the pills. We would just put one in our hand and she would readily eat it without being coaxed.
