Personally, I find that some birds take to dried more readily than fresh. A product such as this is an acceptable supplement to good diet. Most birds, would probably like this better as a seasoning to cooked dishes or an addition of bird bread. It's an easy and simple way to sneak in a little extra nutrition.
The problem I had was that the pieces were too big for my Cockatiel or too small! Some I had to break up for her (they would be problematic for a small bird like a finch).
Pros: easy to use in cooking, simple to way add nutrition, healtier than most bird snacks, most of the pieces are great for small birds
Cons: some pieces too big and tough for a small bird, the alfala bits were too small for a tiel to enjoy, probably most birds would ignore these

My parakeet picked out every peice of this treat. He threw it everywhere and refused to eat it even after trying to introduce it to him many different ways many different times. Maybe some birds would accept it but mine did not.
