Looking for an odor/stain remover to replace Petzyme we came across Simple Solution Odor and Stain Remover.

I am very disappointed with the results of this product. We have a few cats that occasionally may eat too fast, run around after eating too much etc… the result; throwing up. Someone is always home to clean up immediately after this happens but Simple Solution DOES NOT remove the stain. Buying a gallon of this stuff was a huge mistake one that won’t be repeated.

We really, really miss Petzyme!

My cat randomly decides to urinate on carpets, etc once in a while (but I love her anyway). I tried using natures miracle, but it smelled horrible and even after completely saturating the carpet twice and letting it dry, which took a week each time, I still smelled cat urine. I used this product, which has a different label in the stores, and it worked great. the product itself has a pleasant smell, plus I found it was great to use with a carpet cleaner since you do have to blot up the excess moisture from the area you are treating after about 10 minutes - which also cuts down on drying time. Though I wasn't able to save my shag carpet (maybe too long of a loop/too much rug), I was able to save my wall to wall carpet, and some plush throw rugs. This product even seemed to help my baby from going back to the same spot.

I initially had one cat, once i got another cat my initial cat got jealous and/or angry and started to relieve herself everywhere. The other cat just didn't care and would relieve anywhere regardless. I was on the verge of getting rid of both of them. I went to Petsmart and someone recommended simple solutions. I had tried other products before to no avail. However, luckily for my cats, and for me, it worked. Now i don't get so upset if i find one of their messes. (I previously purchased the ultraviolet light-which i find useful to find the stains when i smell something and cant pinpoint it). So yes, I would recommend simple solutions it's a lifesaver, my cat's life that is :)

We've been using Simple Solution Cat Spray & Urine Stain & Odor Remover for about 12 years now, and we love the results. The stains never reappear, and the cats never revisit the spots where they've had an accident. Not only that, but it has a nice scent while it's wet and is totally unnoticeable once dry. We even use it in our laundry, especially blankets that the cats have used. We foster kittens and pregnant cats, so there is always the litter box training and blood stain issue, but Simple Solution takes care of all of it. The only problem I have is that it takes so long to dry, sometimes up to 24 hours. But if that's what it takes to do the job, then it's well worth waiting for. It even works on human urine stains. We've used it on our daughter's bed when she was little and still having nighttime accidents. Great product, and has stood the test of time!

I have a Bengal cat that continues to go to the bathroom in an area in our living room. I have drenched the carpet with Simple Solution only to have my cat come back to the same area and go to the bathroom. This product does not do a good job removing stains either. I have better luck with my shampooer. At least it smells nice. I am off to try 'Get Serious'.

This product did a very good job of removing odor - the stain "seemed" to be gone, but when completely dried, showed through a little, but all in all did a very good job.

I was a bit skepticle, but I found this product very useful for a cat urine stain on furniture- it illiminated the odor and the stain, and the smell of the product is not unpleasant or overpowering.
