Performance
I use this on my Golden retriever and my cat. Both of my pets are indoor/outdoor animals so I want to be able to decrease the amount of hair in the house. I use this on my dog every week or two and on my cat once to twice weekly. It is amazing how much loose hair this will brush from the coat! My pets always look glossy and shiny since purchasing the Furminator and they love the special attention I give them while reducing sheeding at the same time. This is the most expensive grooming tool I've ever purchased but it is WORTH IT!

I have 2 golden retrievers, a lab mix and 2 cats. This is the first grooming tool that gets the job done.

I have used this product since the day it hit the shelf. I have a yellow lab (short hair). The first couple of times you use it it takes quite a while if your dog is big. Once you get a routine going its becomes easy. Their coat shines and you don't have hair all over everything. Dogs are going to shed year around no matter what you do but these combs are like magic. They really do work. They're pricy but well worth it.

Just picked up the large furminator. i have already taken off more in one sitting that i've been able to get with a rake and a stiff bristle brush. My dogs coat looks alot better now and he feels silky smooth... still not happy being brushed but i'm happy maybe now i can not wake up with dog hair in my mouth and nose....

I have a plush coat Siberian Husky and I live in Houston,Tx. Even though my baby is always inside, she sheds her coat year round, but even more so during the summer. I was finding clumps of fur around my house when i first got her and tried several other brushes that just got the fur on her top coat, not the under coat. This brush is so effective and I can't even begin to tell you how much it has cut down on the tufts of hair in my house! This is the same brush they use when you get your dog groomed at petsmart! It's pricey at first but so so worth it!!

I really didn't like the idea of paying so much for a dog brush, but PetSmart was running a sale on these a few weeks ago so I took the plunge and I am so glad I did. This product has saved me from going completely insane! I have a year-old husky who is going through her first major shed. I was going nuts trying to vacuum up clumps of hair all over the house and microsuede furniture two or three times a day. Now I brush her with the FURminator every morning and it really makes a difference (of course I still have to vacuum every day because I can't get it all but it's SO much better). My advice: Don't brush outside like the directions suggest! I tried this the first day and the wind just blew the hair back on her and all over me, and made my yard look like some animal had been ripped apart - very frustrating! Instead I just brush her inside while I have the vacuum running and suction all the hair up with the hose as I brush. My only complaint is that it seems to have brought her dandruff to the surface and it doesn't look pretty - but that just means I'll have to look into a better shampoo. I also can't really tell when to stop brushing because the hair just keeps coming out, but after 10-15 minutes I call it quits.

This was a lifesaver! I have a cocker/retriever mix and his fur constantly mats and tangles. No matter how often he is bathed, his coat was lackluster and dull... After one use of this product, I was amazed! No tangles or shedding! His coat is silky and holds its natural sheen again! This is a total must have! A+!!!

I would use this for any dog! my dog sheds a lot and this takes off all her under hair and leaves her super soft! no other brushes will get as much hair off as this one its well worth the price.

We bought the "furminator" for our dog for Christmas and it truly does work. She is a Sheltie and sheds terribly. The furminator makes her look like she has been professionally groomed and my house does not have any more "rolling hair balls". It really keeps the allergens to a minimum. Perfect for us and her too!

Ok, I was really a non-believer, having heard from one de-shedder to the next that this will solve all your problems. Well, this one does exactly what it says it will do! Yes, miracle of miracles, it gets rid of all that icky hair that finds it way onto your furniture, carpets, clothes and yes tickles your nose! This is the best tool that we have ever bought yes it might be a little pricey but it is well worth it I have 2 maltese both with show hair and they love it as well as I do they really seem to enjoy being combed it does not pull the hair and it works great on getting out knots as well we loved it so much we went back and bought one for our cat and she seems to really enjoy it as well trust me I never leave reviews but this really does deserve for me to write a review it is a miracle comb you and your pet will love it.

I had a very hairy Great Pyrenees who left a trail wherever she walked! We had tried several brushes, rakes etc but to no avail. We were constantly having to unwind the long hair from our vacuum as it would stop it from working and being a Dyson I surely didn't want it to break because of her hair! My daughter suggested the FURminator Deshedding Tool for Long Haired Dogs and I said lets give it a try what have we got to lose besides hair! Well it worked great! After a couple of hours of brushing and bags of hair later she looked great! I would recommend highly!

I've been using the furminator for years on my two lab mixes. I also joke that I can create small dogs from the amount of hair that comes off after brushing. I'll never go back to using any other grooming tool.
