I tried this product and was not happy with results...Then I found some at a local feed & seed store that was called Tiger brand permetherin..16 ounces for 12 bucks and some change...4 times the amount (16 ounces) as this product and it worked very well !...The Tiger brand mixes same ratio as Adams...So you end up getting 33 gallons of mix for less money...And it works...Much better than the Adams brand!...I like petsmart..And will continue to shop there...But this is way to much difference in price and effectiveness of product to ignore..thank you..Buck S.

the formulation is incorrect for the instructions given, .97% Pyrethrin and half oz per gallon was to low to be effective.
the full 4oz in a gallon of warm water after bathing and combing (comb while they are in the water before shampooing) however does work on an outdoor cat.
large outdoor dogs use 2 bottles.

i read the instructions and followed them to a T. i chose to spray my dog outside, soaked him, then proceeded to comb with a flea comb. not only did the dip not kill the fleas, it barely stunned them???? I bought this stuff in a pinch waiting on a mail order to come in. Why bother, could have done the same thing with soap and water and spent the money on dog crackers, woulda made him feel better anyway.

I dipped my indoor cat. Later that day I inspected him, because he was still scratching. Fleas still present. Don't waste your time or money on this.

We have had flea problems one other time, a year ago and I only bombed the house one time, at the same time we flea dipped two cats and two dogs (our indoor pets). Problem resolved after first use, but it was not this brand. This time around, I spent over one hundred dollars on house bug bombs for every room, the Adams brand flea dip, carpet/furniture spray and pet spray. The bug bombs work! The flea dip DID NOT! We did one dog and four cats this time around and they ALL STILL HAD FLEAS and continue to itch! Don't waste your money on these products, they DON"T WORK! I used Hartz flea dip down south and it worked the first time around. This is the 2nd time that we have gone through this process in a month and I even seven dusted the yard as we did down south. The Adams products do not work!

I have been using the Adams brand of products for a very long time. This dip works very well and I will continue to use this when needed. "The description reads: kills and repels fleas, ticks, lice, gnats, mosquitoes and flies. With aloe vera extract, lanolin, and sunscreens",end of description". None of my cats or dogs have had a negative reaction to this dip. I have recommended this particular product and other Adams products to friends and family.

I've used this product for years. Find it effective on dogs if used monthly as a rinse after a bath.

This product did not work as well as other Adams products. My dogs and cat had fleas the next day and were itching like mad. We waited a week before using another product. The only positive is that we were able to bathe the cat (which is VERY difficult!) since the solution is diluted in a bucket of water and we used a sponge to apply. Technically, I suppose that can be done with any other shampoo or dip as well.
