We are both engineers and were so impressed with the quality of the hut plus the organization of the total package. Screws were not just in a bag - but each screw attached to paper with a label and size marking. An extra screw of each size also provided. First time I have ever seen this - hard to believe this effort was put into a rabbit cage. I would highly recommend this product. Plenty of room for our rabbit to stand. Protected sides from the elements. No sun beating down on her! Rabbit transistioned easily to the cage. She loves the private hut. We have been looking a long time for a cage - very pleased - highly recommended. Well worth the money!

This hutch would make a cute doll house, but it is not conventional for a rabbit.
Rabbits like to urinate in corners and when they do this cage leaks urine onto your floors. The tray is shallow and has flat edges so the urine runs out of the cage instead of in it. This is not a good indoor cage if you don't want your carpets ruined.
The material of this product is very "cheap" and I don't think that it would last but a couple of months outdoors.
Luckily, I was able to return this hutch and get a new one. It was almost $130 completely wasted!

This hutch has worked beautifully for my two mini rex rabbits. It’s easy to clean, sturdy and has a nice little sheltered area for them with a wood floor, so they’re not always on the metal grate. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the little plastic heart latch that keeps the ramp up – it’s too easy to open and my two-year-old always turns it. For those who are complaining of leakage, keep in mind that hutches are intended for outdoor use, not indoor, so they are not made to prevent leaks in the way that indoor cages are. If you want to use it indoors, make sure to clean it often and also make sure the tray is aligned with the bottom of the cage when you push it in, because if you don’t push it back all the way or if you push it too far back, the hutch may leak.
Pros: stylish, easy to clean, sturdy

I have owned this hutch for 6 years and my rabbit is very happy with it. The pull out tray is great for cleaning. Also the mesh grate in the living space is a must. Yes, my rabbit has chewed it up some but it hasn't affected the functionality. I keep my rabbits inside in the winter and on the porch in the spring/summer and it is light and easy to move. I am buying another one for my new rabbit.

Just purchased this in the store for my two rabbits and although the hutch is a beautiful color and looks nice, it is not quality! 2 days after getting the hutch and putting it together the back is leaking where both legs are. So I had to put a dish under both back legs so that the rabbit urine does not get to my carpet! I think the hutch is beautiful but for $120.00 it definitely could be made better!

This was a cinch to put together; everything else crummy. First off, the wood is so light and soft, exactly like a balsa wood plane. The price should have been a couple dollars too. My rabbits chewed a hole in the WALL in less than a week. I had put pieces of wood for them to chew on but they went for the easy stuff. They had the trim pulled off in a short period of time exposing all the little nail like things that they are attached with. You have to clean it at least every other day. I paid way too much money for a balsa wood cage.

The reason I purchased this was because it look so much nicer than a wire cage. Well, having spent two hundred dollars and knowing what I know now I would tell you not to even think about purchasing this!! The holes did not match up and I was required to drill my own holes. The hinge for the roof will hardly last a month before it becomes weak and will fall on its own. The litter tray is so shallow that you need to clean almost daily or you cannot even pull it out without having all of the dirty litter fall on the floor. But thats not the worst part. There is a gap between the litter tray and side so when your rabbit urinates it runs down the leg onto the carpet. I had to put a litterbox under the leg to catch the majority of the urine. This hutch is not even worth a tenth of the money they ask for it. It looks nice but trust me, you will be looking for a new cage after this. Don't just go based on looks because this will disappoint a thousand times... And make a HUGE mess!!! Click on the photo I uploaded to see what I mean!!

I bought the medium sized cage for my lop rabbit - It was quick to setup and the wood was quite sturdy. I liked the 3 openings to gain easy accsess to the rabbit / cleaning. I felt like the wire floor should only be an option to put in, not mandatory though.
It has been great outside sheltering from wind, sun and snow. no complaints here!

My bunny is litter box trained, so urine leaking through the bottom tray is not a problem. However, the cage is made of wood, and chewing is a problem.
Her area include this hutch and a large xpen wrapped around it. She chews the wood stilts of the hutch and the underbelly of the hutch. I sprayed with apple bitter, but that only deters her for one day, then she is back at it. I figure Petsmart won't take this item back, and it is too pricey to scrap. So, I will make it work by covering the areas of wood that have edges she can reach with wire mesh using a staple gun. Hopefully, it will stop her chewing. If I can get a couple years out of it, I will be happy enough.
I didn't give this product a great score, nor would I suggest to other bunny owner's because you have to make alterations to the product to make it work. Also unless your bunny is litter box trained, it can be a hassle for clean up and messy when urine leaks on the floor. It is too expensive for the hassle.

I thought this cage was bit pricey, but it was the best we could find. I like the cage but as like most other review stated the corners need better coverage as that is where rabbits go to the bathroom so it ends up on the floor. We use puppy pads under the cage. Also the floor inside the cubby is hard to clean. My rabbit constantly chews the cage and actual chewed the "steps" on the ramp and exposed the nails which we then had to remove so he can go down the ramp safely. the latch on the roof of the cage often gives out and has fallen on my boyfriends head several times. THIS IS NOT GOOD!!!

A beautiful and ,yes, easy to assemble hutch. BUT one, actually big problem is the tray, pan design. As more than one reviewer has mentioned, urine puddles on the rim of the tray and runs out onto the floor!!!! There is a 2" flat rim at the corners of tray (where most animals go). The tray needs to go straight up and cover the entire area of the interior of the cage for full protection.

i got this for my birthday, meant to go to my guinea pig. she really likes it. but there is just two problems. since my guineapig loves to urinate in the corner, it drips to the floor. so i thought to my self i have to find something in my house to fix this. so i took the thing that gos to my dogs crate and that did the trick. it also works as a floor part for the addon rabbit run. so that was one problem that was easily fixed. and the second was that it is not so easy to clean. but other than that, she loves it!!!
this picture is my old cage with an add on that is custom. and also my guinea pig ginger!!!
Pros: very elagent nice and useful
Cons: kinda pricy for my budget and not so easy to clea

it was really easy to put together, but there is a gap at the back of the hutch, even when the tray is slid all the way in. it's big enough for my son's guinnea pigs to wiggle their way out. we had to add an extra board to the back of it, covering the gap. It does have a very strong cedar smell coming out of the box, but that went away within 24 hours. They do love to chew on it, but they haven't done any actual damage, it's all between the bars on the cage part. But there is more than enough room for the two guinnea pigs to run around together and jump around. The tray could be a little deeper, if you don't clean it out everyday, bedding and waste fall onto the floor when you slide it out. but it fits easily into a garbage bag to make dumping it very easy.
Pros: easy to put together, good size
Cons: tray not deep enough

I love this hutch for my rabbit zoe! It gives her plenty of room to move around. The assembly easy so my younger sister could help too. The downside is that it is wood. My rabbit loves to chew on anything in sight so she chews on the wood. Also even though there is a drop pan on one side the other side is wood and she pees in that side and it dribbles down onto the floor. Other than that it is a great hutch.

I searched for 4 hours via internet and found a differnt hutch, when it was out of stock I was ready to build one myself. I ended up driving 2 hours to our closest Pet Smart and bought the last Ware Hutch. I am so glad we went. It was easy to put together (my 6 year old helped) we did add some reinforcements, wood glue and a couple of extra screws, a lock for the roof and a new lock for the wooden door. The buunies love the privacy hutch and hopefully we will add the "playpen" area to ours soon.
Pros: looks great, easy to put together
Cons: soft wood, needed new locks

I bought this product because I wanted to give my mini lop a nice, safe hutch to live in during the summer. The hutch I purchased was damaged, but on further inspection, so was the box it came in. The wood is nice but is very soft, so beware of damaged packaging when purchasing. Otherwise I really like this product. My Nuggett gets to enjoy the sunshine and hang out in the back yard without neighborhood cats bothering him. I wish had seen one assembled before purchasing though. I got a medium sized hutch and my mini lop is full grown and almost too big for it. Something to keep in mind if you have one or more rabbits.
One note however would be replacing the 'heart lock' with something slightly more secure. I purchased a simple gate lock. The wood is soft enough that you can screw into it easily by hand with a regular screwdriver.
Pros: waterproof roof, easily assembled accessories
Cons: damaged wood

I bought this hutch because I am an adult and the colored plastic cages don't quite suit my style. This hutch looks very nice, but my guinea pig kicks bedding out. It's way too messy. And she loves to urinate in the corner. The corners and seams and things are not as tightly sealed as I would like them. My guinea pig's urine leaks out at the corner and onto my previously very nice blemish free floors.
To solve this problem I thought maybe caulk (maybe toxic though), maybe a plastic mat (ugly), and finally came up with a good solution. Black square pencil cups from the dollar tree filled with cat litter. It's the lesser of eye sores.
And the 'bedroom' portion of the hut has a wood floor. My guinea pig sometimes urinates in her hut. This does not go well with the wood. I fear that in the future the wood will need to be replaced.
Pros: cute, easy to assemble
Cons: urine leak, easy bedding spills, damage to wood in hut portion, damage to wood floor under hutch, guinea pig urine ruins everything

This product is a complete waste of money. The litter tray is so thin that if it's not cleaned out every single day, the waste will form a pile and you cannot even slide the tray out. There is a huge gap between the tray and the back of the cage and every time my rabbit uses the bathroom, the urine goes straight to the floor. I now have to keep puppy pads under the cage just to keep the floor clean.

First I had 2 rabbits. Since we got them when they were babies, we bought the medium one. It was very easy to assemble and very light to move. It was SO great that we decided to buy a second rabbit and give him the medium hutch and then we bought the large hutch for the first two rabbits. We don't use the trays in the summer, only in the winter when we moved them onto our back porch.
The size is great. Not very easy to clean though. The tray is easy to empty but the wooden section still has to be cleaned quite often. I would definitely recommend this to a committed rabbit owner.
