"Our Cane Corso loves this ball, she plays with it til she's wore out & keeps on playing. I agree with others on this is an outdoor toy. We've had other balls & she had them done for in 30 min or less. This ball is well worth the money. I recommend this to anybody who has a dog with sharp teeth & loves to chew & play."

Pit Bull Proof (so far), January 19, 2010
by PitOwner from rural Washington state

Pros: durable
Cons: can't be used inside

"The ONLY toy that has held up to my pit bull for 3 years. She immediately learned how to lodge her eye tooth into the small depression on top so she can pick it up and run away with it but she has never been able to actually chew it up ... unlike even the super Kong toys. She has become quite the skillful soccer player, using her front legs, and it is great exercise for both of us. NOT an inside toy but her favorite outside toy, for sure."

Fun in the backyard, December 3, 2009
by Lestan from IN

Pros: hours of fun, durable
Cons: possible injury if not careful

"My golden loves to punt this ball around the yard with her paws. She can't pick this ball up with her mouth because its sooo big. But its fun to watch her attack the ball and push it around the yard. My only problem with this ball is I worry she might get hurt because of its large size and hardness."

Very tough BUT...., November 4, 2009
by Lalaloh from Plumas Lake, CA

"I bought this (10") for my pitbull about 2 years ago, and although it is extremely tough, you have to be careful about where you let your dog play with it. I learned the hard way. My dog broke the mirror on one of my mirrored wardrobe doors at my old house when she was chasing it, so now we dont let her play with it inside. When she is outside with it, it almost immediately goes into the pool. Because she cant get her mouth around it, she pulls it under her body with her front legs and doesnt have alot of control over it. My suggestion would be to get the smaller one so dogs have a little more control over it."

"I bought two of these balls and have had them now for ten years and they have went through four masstiffs and an english bulldog. This is not a ball that is meant to throw and you have to have a fenced backyard when they play with it. Ours have big hole in the top so they can be torn through (but considered the size of dog) but, my dogs still play with these for hours. Every dog we have owned seems to love these. They like to bat them arround with their heads and I think it drives them crazy that they can't pick them up. I think these are the best toy especailly for ball crazy dogs."

Finally!, October 7, 2009
by Chato05 from Austin, Tx

"I know everyone has something to say and has probably heard this alot about this toy but it "is" amazing! I have two american pitbull terriers m/f the boy is 4 and huge and the girl is 2 medium size well they would go like 8 mins with a kong toy (together i might add) and destroy it REALLY!
when i saw this toy i was a little sceptical at first but when i brought it home it took 5 mins for my dogs to be chasing it around the back yard untill they we're absolutly beat. i love this toy it keeps my dogs entertaind for hours. give it a try if you have tough chewers most likely you and dog will be happy you did."

Almost Indestructible Ball, September 21, 2009
by GERCH629 from Camp Lejeune, NC

"We have a 4 year old female pit bull (65 pounds) who we have spent a FORTUNE on buying her chewing toys and balls........she just destroyed her ultra kong toy in like 2 weeks.........we have searched high and low for anything that lasts longer than 1-5 minutes........we used to be able to find a tire that was for power chewers but can't find it anymore........the only ones we can find now don't last more than 1/2 hour ........this ball is a miracle.........it is NOT meant to be used indoors as it is way too hard and will end up breaking your belongings.......i'm sure it is meant to be played with outside......it is a VERY hard ball (we bought the 10" size) and it took about 30 minutes for our dog to figure out how to roll it around the yard.........she rolls it, chases it, flings it up in the air and bounces it off her nose......she will do this for HOURS until she's completely exhausted and we have to bring her in to recooperate..........over the past 2 years we have bought roughly 8 of these for her so far (and are getting ready to order some more) and she absolutely LOVES them...........she is OBSESSED with this ball..............
people who say their dog doesn't play with it have to realize that dogs are like kids (some like some toys and some like other toys)............the ONLY drawback to this ball is with OUR dog she can BARELY get her jaws around this ball (which is a good thing) and after a month or two of playing with it the ball has teeth marks in a circle all around it so when she flings the ball up in the air and bounces it off her nose it'll cut her nose up some...........when it does that it's time to throw the ball out and give her a new one......she loved it so much we gave one to our neighbors dogs hoping they would chase it for hours like ours does (and unfortunately their dogs could care less about this ball)......IT IS BY FAR THE BEST TOY WE'VE FOUND FOR OUR VERY AGGRESSIVE CHEWER............well worth the money!!!!!"

Dogs not interested at all, August 31, 2009
by Nat256 from Alabama

Pros: it is tough
Cons: dogs not interested, too big, too hard

"I was very excited when I found this ball recommended on a website for pittbull owners. I bought this ball with the hopes that it would survive my pittbull/lab mix for longer than an hour. I bough the six inch ball but unfortunately it was too big for him to get his mouth around it. It is also very hard. My husband and I played with the ball trying to get any of our six dogs interested in it, and NONE were. In addition to our lab/pitt mix we have 2 black and tan coonhounds, a boxer bulldog, a terrier mix, and a German Shepherd mix. I tried giving it away to my brother for his Boxer bulldog but he asked what the dog was supposed to do with it seeing as it is "too big and too hard". My sister likewise did not want the ball for her two pittbulls and her two labs also citing that it is way too big and also too hard. "How are they supposed to play with it?" she said, "these aren't herding dogs". All of these dogs enjoy playing with balls. However this toy only qualifies as a ball in shape. It cannot be picked up, it cannot be mouthed, it cannot be retrieved at all. If your dog enjoys "soccer" style playing or herding objects then maybe this is the toy for you as I have no doubt that it truly is "amost indestructible". However, if you have a dog who truly enjoys playing ball, i.e. retrieving, mouthing, chewing a ball then save your money and find something else."

Sirs Toy, August 26, 2009
by SirsMom from Daytona Beach, Florida

"We have an American Staffordshire Terrier, he shreds toys in seconds of giving them to him, and we end up with carcasses and bits and pieces. I was on a Pitbull web-site and they suggest these balls. What a great purchase!!! These balls are not your normal toss across the yard and fetch balls. These are hard plastic balls that the dog can hardly get his mouth around to pick up, or sink his teeth into and pop; so he ended up chasing it on the ground. As the other users have said, these balls will definitely stay outside, as they are made of hard plastic. We had great fun last night, and "Sir" was very tired once we were done playing."

Cons: if you have tile floors dont let it bounce.

"This ball is indestructable. My PIT loves this toy and the only damage to the ball is teeth marks. It is definately a
toy fit for PITS or any hard chewers. My PIT goes thru toys within 30 seconds and this one has lasted 3 months and still going. I have both sizes and she prefers the smaller blue ball."

very good, July 10, 2009
by TheRealSlimShady from USA

Pros: very durable, dog likes to play with it, don't need to be there for constant supervision, flexible usage
Cons: not completely indestructible

"I've got a 3 year old (2 year old when I bought the ball) AMSTAFF. He is able to chew through things that I never would have thought possible. I am constantly on a search for something that will last him a while and that I don't have to constantly watch him with.
I have gotten him canvas toys (mere seconds to complete destruction and cotton everywhere) and Kongs (the tougher black large one and it only takes him about 15 minutes before he is ripping pieces off of it).

I finally got him the large red indestructible ball.
While this ball is not truly indestructible, it has held up way better than anything else I've given him. He has been entertained and loves the ball. It's nice to be able to fill it with water to add some weight. He seems to really like that.

Ultimately he did end up tearing the ball apart but it took him almost 2 months of intermittent play to get a hole in it so he could start the real demolition. Even after tearing it open he really liked to carry it around and try to chew pieces off. The nice thing is that the pieces he would get off were so small that I didn't have to worry about them blocking his intestines. (have had to take him to the vet for Kong-blockage, etc.)

now that the ball is 70% gone we are buying another one.

good luck."

Best Toy Ever, May 28, 2009
by Jeremy1 from Ft. Hood, TX

Pros: great toy hrs of fun great exercise for the dog
Cons: didn't care for it at first but now he loves it

"My 1 1/2 yr old pit bull destoys everything but not this ball. It only has a few scratches in it after 6 months. He spends alot of time just pushing it around the yard like a soccer ball. Its by far his favorite toy and the only thing i can find that he doesn't destroy in 15 mins or less. Definately worth the buy!"

"This is my dog's FAVORITE toy ever!!! She cannot wait to get outside in the morning and play with it in the backyard. It keeps her busy for hours; she hits it like a soccer ball across the yard and has mastered how to pick it up. I even bought an extra ball as back up, just in case I wouldn't be able to find one at a store. This ball keeps my great dane/mastiff mix highly entertained and has her tired out by the end of play time!"

Awesome toy, April 26, 2009
by GuineaPigLuv from Missouri

Pros: very strong
Cons: not the best for indoor play

"I had originally purchased this for my Rottweiler mix, but she didn't have much interest in it. But my 10 yr shih tzu mix and 13 yr old beagle, love it even though its almost as tall as them (I got the big size). The only thing though- as a warning, its not the best indoor toy. Especially if you have tile or wood floors, its noisy. Its a great outdoor toy."

The Almost Indestructible Ball, April 22, 2009
by KrazyKatLady from Louisville, KY

Pros: they cant pop it
Cons: it makes alot of noise of hardwood floors

"I bought this ball for my 9 year old pit bull. She could not wait for me to open the box when the UPS guy delivered the box. I had told her that there was a ball in the box. She played with the 10" red ball all evening and it drained her high energy out of her. She was ready for her nap and she even went to bed early tonight! That was a first. Thanks PetSmart. This will be another way I drain her energy besides taking her for long walks, and bike rides. She loves it!"

dog is not interested, March 27, 2009
by PittyLover from Kankakee, IL

Pros: sturdy, well made
Cons: dog not interested

"I had been waiting quite some time to order this toy because I had hear such great reviews on it. I have a 10 month old pit bull and he can destroy just about everything! When I took it out of the box he was very interested in it but once he figured out that he can't fit it into his mouth, he was bored. I even tried having his doggie friends play with it to get him excited about it but they didn't want anything to do with it either. It is very sturdy and I have a feeling if your dog played with it the ball would last for quite some time. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get the chance to test that theory."

Best Ball Ever, February 22, 2009
by Babs84 from Saint Charles, MO

"I have two black labs that are very hyper and chew up every toy I buy them. My dogs absolutly LOVE this ball. It keeps them entertained for hours and they can't tear it up. When they come inside from playing with it they both fall asleep. I recommend that this be an outside toy as it's made from a very hard plastic and could put holes in your walls. My dogs love to push it around and play soccer with it. I highly recommend this toy!!!"
