I have used this product for almost four years now I love it my dog is a mix of five diffrent breeds and is allergic to alot but she can use this it works in mins and keeps working, but i would recommend spraying on in a well ventiled area as when you frist spray it on the sent is kinda strong but fades fast and the sent is pleasent kinda reminds me of a spice cake cooking.

I love this product. It works well either on its own or as a hold over for the next flea treatment and the best part about it is that its natural. Its bad enough I have to use the drops....but as anyone who lives in florida knows.....the flea drops dont always last as long as they should!
Pros: easy to use, effective, price

I have tried every kind of natural home remedy out there, and it never worked on my dog. I tried Hartz medicine and it only worked for the first month. His fleas went away for about a week and then out of nowhere they came back full force, worse than before. I freaked out! I don't have 50 dollars to spend on advantix or frontline. I heard vets will give you a single dose for 10-20 dollars. But instead I went to petsmart and got this. I LOVE IT! I came home and sprayed it on his belly first, and they INSTANTLY died on the spot. I am in love! I'm so glad it's all natural too so I don't have to poison my pet to poison the fleas. He is a very happy pup now :)

I LOVE this product. It works fantastic. Yes, you have to re-apply somewhat often, but it works when you spray it on. You can watch the fleas come to the top of my dogs fur then jump off and die on the tiles. I have two English Bulldogs who are allergic to everything and they have no problem with this product. Fleas hate this product.

I usually don't review items and I can't stand when people put up a negative review that seems really extreme. However, I was really disappointed with this product. I have a yorkie and we've seen a couple fleas on him so I was going to buy him a flea collar. I read the flea collar and it said the chemical in the collar is known to cause cancer in California (odd only in California right?) Well I have two children so decided not to chance it. I noticed this all natural flea spray and thought it smelled pretty good so I bought it. At first I thought it smelled good but once I brought my dog inside my whole house either started smelling like this or I just couldn't shake the smell. It was very overpowering to me and I feel like it must be making my dog miserable being as their sense of smell is way greater then ours. Also, he was very greasy feeling. I kept thinking it would dry but after two hours it was still the same. I tried to follow directions and spray on the skin but of course its going to get in the hair too. The bottle even says to let it penetrate the coat to the skin. Since he was so greasy feeling and strong smelling, I wasn't really fond of the idea of him getting on my furniture or in my bed tonight. I called Sentry and they told me to wipe him down with a wet paper towel. I had already wiped him with a baby wipe and there was no change. They then told me if you get it on the coat it can leave them greasy. I don't know how you avoid the coat at all. They were very nice and said I could send in my receipt and they would refund my money. I game my dog a bath with his regular shampoo and it was much better. The smell was still faint but it smelled good since it wasn't so strong. It should be noted his coat was very soft after he was washed, but I would rather just use conditioner. SO - the point, maybe it works well on some breeds but I would not recommend for a yorkie (could be the type of hair they have, who knows). Or if your dog gets on your furniture. Its probably great for an outside dog or a dog that stays out while you're at work (you can spray him in the morning and maybe it will wear off by the time you come home.) As for fleas, it wasn't on long enough for me to judge that. I had only seen one the day before when I was bathing him so there were none falling off of him or anything. But if I were a flea, I would probably run just from the smell! Haha, good luck, I hope this helps and would be interested to see if anyone else has had the same greasy results.

I bought this for my dad's 2 bulldogs and it didn't help at all. There outside dogs so they do have fleas and I was hoping this would help, but no luck. I would not recommend this to anyone.

This was excellent ever since I started using this I haven't seen one insect on my schnoodle. It's natural and it doesn't harm him internally and externally it's safe enough for me to use on my puppy. The only down is the strong smell but it starts to wear off and leaves your pet smelling fresh. It kills fleas and ticks on contact and repels mosquitoes. It's also safe for human skin I've used which proves how safe it is.
Pros: kills fleas and ticks, repels mosquitoes, can be used on humans, natural ingredients
Cons: strong scent

This stuff is so AMAZING . I use it on the dogs along with a brewers yeast & garlic supplement. The two together keep the fleas away . It kills the fleas in less then a minute!! I spray my dogs about once or twice a week. First, I brush them I kinda fluff up the fur. Then, I spray & rub it into there fur. My dogs love it when I get the bottle out they come running over to me!! It really works & it will make your dog smell like a spicy cookie : )

We noticed fleas on our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel two days after we got him. A petsmart associate recomended this product and I was surprised at how well it worked. I sprayed it on my puppy and I saw a couple fleas fall from him. now my puppy smells like baked goods and he's feeling less itchy =)
Pros: all natural, fast acting
Cons: looks oily on pet's coat

I used this spray in conjunction with Sentry's Natural Defense Flea & Tick Dog Drops. We visited my husband's family, who has many fleas in their house and on their animals. I put the drops and spray on our dog the month before and the day before we arrived to their house. After a couple days at their house, I noticed our dog increasingly scratching, so I turned her on her back, and to my horror, she had at least 10 fleas on her tiny belly! (Our dog only weighs about 8 pounds.) I immediately grabbed Sentry's Natural Defense Flea and Tick Dog Spray a began spraying away. The spray did kill on contact, however, as soon as it dried, more fleas jumped right on. I will not buy this product again.

My female German Shepherd Dog became violently sick when I put a flea collar on her many years ago. With that in mind, we have avoided all flea and tick medicines because they contain poisons. Recently, I was shocked to find a huge tick embedded in her ear. A few days afterward, I found another huge tick lying on our floor in the area where our female sleeps. Our German Shepherd dogs are indoor dogs. The only place they could have picked up ticks is in our very own backyard. At that point, I realized I needed to treat my dogs but anguished over using toxic pesticides and poisons found in most flea and tick repellants. I immediately went to the Petsmart website to research available products. Thank you, Petsmart for providing a complete list of ingredients in your products! I was thrilled to find Sentry Natural Defense is made out of natural oils rather than poisons. I raced into our local Petsmart & purchased both the spray as well as the powder. Came home and gave both the Shepherds a robust spraying. Yes, the scent is strong at first - pumpkin spice cake or cinnamon cookies. The scent fades within a day. Results are a bit slower with this product than they would be with the usual pesticides, however, I am NOT killing my dog with cancer-causing toxins when I use this. For those reviewers who insist this product doesn't work, please rethink natural versus poisonous. In using this product, I am helping my dogs to live long and healthy lives rather than contributing to a toxic build-up in their systems which will lead to cancerous tumors, diabetes, kidney failure or more. Thank you, Sentry for making this product available! Thank you Petsmart for selling it! Voila, no more ticks!
Pros: natural oils -practically food grade., smells like home baked goods, my dogs love it, not toxic to my dogs or my household, easy to use

The smell on this product is VERY strong, but it wears down after 24 hours. This product does work though. My new puppy was suffering from fleas really bad when we first got her. Being a newbie at dogs, I bathed her with regular shampoo hoping that that would rid her of her fleas. Suffice to say, it didn't. I wanted to try something that had natural ingredients, because I figured it would be safer for puppies. I came across this item, and decided to try it. Her scratching ceased and her fleas were gone within an hour. I take her to play outside several times everyday, and it wards off mosquitos as well. I spray her with this after every bath, (which is every 10 days), and so far there has been no reoccurance of fleas.

"Fragrence" VERY strong!

Product worked to kill fleas, but leaves an oily, smelly residue on everything your pet comes in contact with. It's not a "botanical" smell---It's like peppermint & bubble gum and it's a VERY strong odor. Though it kills fleas, it might not be best for pets kept indoors. Had to wash everything my dog came in contact with to try and get rid of the odor.

My pregnant poodle needed relief from a bad break out of fleas and this was safest for mom and future pups. I combined this with 3 Foggers used around the house, and no more problems!
