This smell is overwheming especially if you have allergies. I have found ticks on my dog. This product does not work.

We've had a serious issue with fleas the last year. I'd always used what the vet recommended, but for some reason over the summer and still into the winter it was no longer even controlling the fleas a little. So after trying almost every brand of spot on with no luck, I resorted to something new. First a bathed him with the sentry flea shampoo, the after he was dried put the collar on him. Although the smell was a bit strong the first few days, it was worth it. When I gave him his weekly bath I fully expected to find fleas on him, and even had the flea comb ready, but there were none!! I think pairing it with the shampoo is what made it so effective.
Pros: inexpensive, effective, easy to use, no mess
Cons: strong smell

My two small dogs have been going outside alot, therefor they have had lots of fleas. My husband and I bought over $50 worth of things to help them. Including 2 of these collars. These collars still haven't worked for my dogs and they have been on them for over a month. Buy something else if your having these problems too.
