The first time I used it I didn't notice anything different about my dog. The next time I used it she took a nap, not sure if she was just tired, or it was actually working for her.... I bought it for 4th of July and used it again on New Years Eve because she doesn't like the loud noise. For the results I'm looking for I think I need to get tranquilizers.

Effectiveness
This is a MUST around my household. I have two male dogs and one female dog-NONE of which are spayed or nuetered. For any of you who know, this is just chaos when the female goes into heat. (I have to keep them all separate) but the two males constantly whine,cry,bark howl etc. to get to her...through ALL hours of the night! I give my two male daschund dogs 1.5 tablets and never hear a peep after waiting about 30 minutes. Truly does calm. Thank goodness this only happens twice a year!!
Pros: it works! (you may need to up dosage)
Cons: my dogs spit it out...may be hard to get it down

Effectiveness
I tried this product several times to calm my poodle's separation anxiety. It did not work at all.
Pros: dog liked the taste
Cons: did not work as advertised
