I have a very passionately cat-focused vet who consistently recommends completely plant-matter-free (therefore all-meat), wet cat food. Sophisticat is one of the brands she recommends, unless you make your own! Certain flavors have starch or other plant-based ingredients; i avoid those, and choose the five or so that are free of all plants. This drops the calorie load and is easier for cats to digest, and cats can eat as much as they want without the fat-cat concern. My cat dislikes the turkey flavor, but otherwise likes his options, whether chunky or smooth.
Other plant-free wet foods were distasteful to my cat, so this one works great, keeps him hydrated, promotes health and a lean figure. :)
Pros: price, taste
Cons: smell

I have two cat, of which one of them had a problem with soft and yellow stool, sometimes diarrhea. So bad that he ended up messing up the surrounding walls and floor. He also, in desperate attempt to flush himself, would dig aggressively and send litter everywhere.
I read that some cats have allergies to corn, wheat and soy. The Meow Mix I was serving had Corn as the first ingredient. The other cat was fine with it.
So looking for an alternative, I went through the aisles of PetSmart reading each products ingredients. Even the "healthy" brands had too many vegetables along with wheat and/or corn. And there I found SophistaCat with no mention of wheat or corn. Hooray!! And the products were really inexpensive. Double Hooray!!
Took the food home and the cats love it. And after a couple of days, I didn't have to clean the litter scoop and sweep the floor anymore. Everything had solidified and he takes his time. Mission Accomplished! Now if we can do something about the cat farts, perhaps a few more days.

My cats generally will eat just about any canned cat food...but for this one, the larger cans sometimes contain square chunks of food rather than shredded or pured. For some reason about 1/2 of my cats do not like the texture of the square chunks. They will lick all the sauce from them and leave these little tiny squares on their plates. If I squish them, they will eat them, but that's just a little too much work for canned cat food.
Other than that, if you have less texture-picky cats, this does offer quite a decent amount of protein per can and a good price.
Pros: good price, better protein content than some other brands
Cons: the square chunks are awkward for some cats
