Liono is a picky kitty, and he loves both the salmon and chicken flavor. He always purrs after I give him pieces. I love that this treat is natural, no fillers, and 100% meat. :)

Quality has slipped

My cat loved this product and we have been buying it for years. However, the product has recently changed and I was disappointed when I received the treats in the mail and found that only half of the container is full now (used to be full to the top) and the pieces are burnt. Similar issue happened with their shrimp flavor line and I stopped buying those because they were burnt and the cat couldn't chew them. I guess I'll have to find another treat to replace this product unless the company changes it back to the original. The cat still likes them but can't chew the burnt pieces so a part of the half full container can't be eaten and at that point the cost of the product outweighs the benefits.

We've used this product for several years but as the other recent reviews have mentioned the product has changed. We crush the pieces into some liquid medicine. It mask the flavor so our cat will take her meds. We also "treat" both of our cats with this item. They sit side by side every morning waiting for their treats before breakfast. However, there are way too many pieces that are hard/dark and almost impossible to crush/eat. The product cost too much to waste so much. I would rather have the excess "powder" that use to be in the bottom of the container before than the hard pieces they make now. We are experimenting with a different pouched product that has small freeze dried cubes.

Pros: taste, high quality ingredients

Light pieces, dark pieces, doesn't make a diff. My three male cats devour these.

We're not talking about kitties either (although they still think and look like they are!) but senior dudes (like their pops!). Was a little put off by the dark pieces at first but attributed this to the season, recent severe storms, etc. I simply cut them (carefully using the sharp end of a sharp knife) into smaller pieces and ... they continued to DEVOUR them.

The only complaint I have about this product is that with the way these guys eat these things up is it can be costly but then, that's not really a product issue but a personal issue, right?

Anyhow, I highly recommend these with the disclaimer that if your cats end up devouring this product like these guys do, be prepared to spend a bit! I think it's worth it!

The company recently changed this product and the results are very disappointing. The process used to dry the salmon has been changed, and now many of the pieces are dark brown and almost as hard as rocks. The texture of even the light colored pieces is much more dense than before.. My cats will eat the lighter colored pieces but not the dark hard pieces.

I actually wrote to the company about the change. I received an email back the next day telling me how sorry they were for my inconvenience. They asked me to send pictures of the product and the lot number so that they could investigate the matter. They told me they would send me a "care package" to make up for my inconvenience. I sent them several pics and the lot number and never even received a response to my email, never mind a "care package".

This has always been an expensive product, but I paid the price because it was an all natural product with just the one ingredient, plus my cats loved it. To now have to pay the same price and to have to throw away half the tub because it is inedible is not something I'm going to do. They have lost me as a customer.

Disappointing change in the product

We have been buying this product for our five cats for the last three years. This year there has been a change in the texture and color of the pieces.

Our cats always beg for this treat and now they leave it laying where we put it.

Our entire household is very disappointed in the current product and we are searching for a replacement.

This is the best cat treat on the market. My cats adore it. I think they would trade me for it. They hear us pick up the box from across the house and poof they are there and they were downstairs. I have to keep it in my dresser drawer so they don't break it open and eat it all in one sitting. I also fe good that its just natural fish. No grains or preservatives or other mystery ingredients. My son calls this stuff kitty crack. Buy it, your fur babies will live it.

they love these and wait at their bowls whenever i go into their bedroom, and i don't have to worry quite as much about them getting too much because these are 100% unseasoned meat. for those having a hard time finding them, they're on the very bottom shelf in the store near me i don't know about your stores, it took me a little while to find them at first too.

We actually bought this for our German Shepherd puppy. He's on a raw diet, and we prefer to give him treats that are 100% meat and uncooked. These are perfect for him. We get the chicken because salmon can be harmful to dogs. We love these.

Dominique will ONLY take her arthritis medicine if she also has some of these salmon treats. She's finicky, but gobbles these with wild abandon. Makes quite a mess (salmon dust all over her whiskers), but she's happy. Meanwhile, her brother, who eats everything, isn't too enthused.

I have 3 cats, and they love this wonderful, wholesome, and nutritious product. No longer do i have to buy other brands with who knows whats in them, this is pure product, with no chemicals or fillers. I use a kitchen scissors to cut them up into little pieces, and my cats just know when they will be served with this, they come running, and i think i can see their smiles!

Pros: you dont have to refrigerate!

Cons: cant always find them in the store.

9 out of 10 of my cats refuse this treat even when I break up the large pieces. My cats do not turn down treats of any kind/variety so I was very disappointed that they didn't eat these especially since they cost quite a bit compared to other treats.

I hate giving my cat the 'name brand' treat that have awful ingredients that might end up causing her to get sick.

I saw these right by the treat. I had read reviews about it and had no hesitation on purchasing them.

My kitten is 15 weeks old (13 weeks when I purchased the product). I love that it is a Natural cat treat.

She knows when she is about to get her treat. I only give her one a day as of right now.
She goes wild and likes to lick and play with it for a bit before she actually eats it.

It is hard to hide...but found a solution to that. I have a pantry that I keep locked (due to kids sneaking snacks). So I just keep it locked up in there. However, she knows it is in there and whenever I go to get something out of the pantry she is "RIGHT" there.

I am ordering a few more buckets to keep on hand. They are a little pricey...but the couple extra dollars is worth it to me for her health.

Pros: long expiration date, kitty loves it, love that it is a natural treat

Cons: the salmon does have a strong odor, a little pricey

My two Maine Coon boys inhale these treats; I love that there are no fillers, just pure protein. When it's "treat time", they start following me around the house giving me "what for" until I take out the Salmon and let them chow down. Great Product!!

My Templeton LOVES the salmon treats! His favorite by far! He doesn't purr much, but i had him purring DURING a nail trim while staring longingly at this treat!

Cons: petsmart is the only company to carry them but..., not many petsmarts do carry them!

I have four cats and ALL of them go crazy over these treats. Like another review that I read, all I have to do is shake the tub and the cats come running. The only con is that my cats are very smart and cunning (i.e. NORMAL!) and because of this, I can't seem to find a great hiding place for these :)

Pros: can be broken down into smaller pieces, cats love them, price is great for amount

Cons: hard to hide from cats :)

I have gotten all my friends hooked on these for their cats. I now have to buy them online because I moved to a town with no petsmart. Totally worth the shipping. The first time I got them I made the mistake of leaving the container out and one of my cats broke into it and there wasn't even a crumb left! All I have to do is shake the tub and they come running, even invisakittee. Petsmart has the best price on these!!!! Your cats will love you for these.
