Best litter I have ever used,
February 20, 2010
by ferretluver2010
from Ottawa, ON
Pros: no dust, easy to clean, absorbs odor really well
"This is the best litter I have ever used for my ferret, Maggie. The other ones were, at the end of that day, a big mess. They never absorbed anything and it was dusty. This one isn't dusty and it absorbs every thing, odor and all. I would recommend this to anyone!"

Good litter.,
December 26, 2009
by Hokie08
from Alexandria, VA
"I am currently using Yesterday's News after trying Marshall's ferret litter and not loving it. This stuff is good at absorbing urine and helps keep their cage not as smelly as before. One suggestion though: this stuff is marked up because it is a "ferret" litter. The cat package of Yesterday's News is exactly the same as this and at a much better price! I believe I paid around $17 for a 35 lb bag of the "cat" version!"

Pros: absorbs odor really well, easy to clean
"I just got my bun, Bellamy, and I think I've found a winner with this litter. It absorbs odor really well! I haven't smelled even the faintest trace of his messes, even when I'm changing the litter box! It's easy to clean, as well. I highly recommend this litter for your bunny!"

good product,
June 10, 2008
by gigisqueegee
from Gainesville, FL
"I purchased this product to use in my young rabbit's litter pan. It's very absorbent and is great at controlling odors. It's safe and my bunny vet told me it's a great option for use in a litter pan.
However, it's not easy to spot clean, is heavy, and is somewhat expensive.
This bedding looks and feels somewhat like rabbit feed pellets, so it's not very comfortable. I would NOT recommend it for use throughout the entire cage."

Be green and feel good about your bunny's litter,
May 28, 2008
by lovethatrabbit
from sanford, maine
"I have used Yesterday's News Litter for my special pal, Kengi throughout his life. It is an easy product to pour and there is no dust to contend with. It absorbs all the liquid he produces and odor isn't a problem. And, best of all, I empty the whole content of his litter pan into my gardening compost. His waste is recycled and the bedding, made of used newspaper, gets a second life feeding the flowers. A win for me, Kengi and the environment!"

LOVE IT,
May 16, 2008
by melsie
from Avon, CO
"My guinea pig, Piggy Sue and I love this stuff....So much so that I have been driving over 100 miles every few months to the nearest store that carries it and buying @ 90-120# at a time. I have a 24"x36" plastic tote that I am using for a cage and I cover the bottom with a couple inches of Yesterday's News. I've been able to go 2-3 weeks w/o changing it with no odor problems (we live in a 10'x15' studio apt...believe me I would notice an odor since her cage is close to my bed). Every couple days I just cover my hand with a plastic bag and reach in to clean out the wet corners... and sometimes add a little more fresh Y.N. On the litter changing day all I have to do is tip the container over the trash can and it slides out easily. A quick cleaning with vinegar solution and refill....takes less than 15 minutes. If ever there were a trouble free pet, my GP is it thanks to this wonderful product."

One Word.....UH-May-Zing!,
January 15, 2008
by mixedkid
from Jax, FL
"I just got a cutie little lop rabbit, I searched thru heaps of information online before I headed to the all powerful PETSMART, I kept seeing Yesterday's New***Yesterday's News*** everywhere, so I figured that'd be a good bet....before I got a chance to pick it up I used wood shavings (the same as the pet store used), then news paper shreddings and hay, all of these feeble attempts at easy to get litter were complete failures...When the weekend came and I finally had time to go to PETSMART and pick some up, I might as well have thrown a party. This stuff is incredible! Non-toxic, so it's edible! My decision to buy it was unregrettable!!!!!
If you love your bunny.... BUY YESTERDAY'S NEWS!!!"

Nice Litter,
December 10, 2007
by Silverleaf28
from Diamond Bar, California
"The litter came in a big bag - so I won't have to exactly worry about going back and forth to get litter. The newspaper absorbs urine very nicely, in fact, I can't even tell where they did urinate on. Odor control is alright, the one I used before it, Critter Litter, controlled odor very well- perhaps better, but it clumps up, so the end results are messy. Yesterday's News give you easy cleanup and it is non toxic so it puts me at relief even if they ingest a large amount of it. It doesn't put up a scent to mask up odor like some other litters, but absorbs it to the point where there is /almost/ no smell. It is kind of strong if your nose is right next to the litterbox, though. If you're looking for a litter, I suggest you try this one out - see how you like it."

This is great stuff, for reptiles too!!,
November 7, 2007
by ceb111481
from Fairfax, VA
"We use this for our lizards, and it's great! We didn't want to put our little guys on sand, because if they ingest too much sand, they can get impacted, even if it says "safe if ingested." So, we began searching for alternatives. Since our lizards love to burrow, we couldn't put them on anything flat or solid, like tiles or cloth. Our vet actually recommended this product, and we love it, the lizards love it, it's a win-win. They can burrow to their hearts content, and they can't eat it like they could with sand.
Highly recommended for all small critters, both furry and scaly!"

HMMMMMMMMMM,
September 21, 2007
by kdoggg03

"My mom got this for out cat. It absorbed really well. The problem is that the pieces are too big to scoop out. If you use this you have to dump all of it out. We went back to regular cat litter. This stuff is also expensive. I bet it would be good for rabbit or other small animal litter box."

The best for my rats,

"One or my rats can't stand living in aspen, Pine, or Carefresh bedding so I use yesterdays news. This bedding really gets rid of smells ( even in male rats cages ) and it is not dusty either. It is very absorbent and is easy to clean up."
