I found this retractable leash to be strong and durable
in the cold weather rain and snow.It has a black cord that makes it hard to see at night.

Only lasted 2 years for almost $100!!

DON'T BUY! I have 2 of the 150 lb leashes for my 2-70 lb dogs and right after having them about 2 years exactly, they both somehow sliced off inside the mechanism about 4-5 inches away from the end (within 2 weeks of one another). Called the company and they said that it is normal wear and tear... but my dogs are both 10+, barely pull on them, and off leash 95% of the time so I BARELY use these leashes. The company also offered me NOTHING for this obvious manufacturer defect. Each leash was almost $50. I will not buy flexi products again. Thank goodness we weren't near traffic when this happened!!

Durable Leash

An all around great leash, it is extremely long-lasting, has a great, soft but firm grip, and the tether won't break easily at all. My dog is almost five and about seventy pounds. These leashes have withstood his nervous chewing, smashing into the concrete, and being generally well worn. For the few extra bucks, buy one of these and save yourself from buying a new cheap leash every month like I did before finding this leash!

Pros: durable, comfortable grip, long range, nice color choices, solid but not heavy

Cons: little pricey

Do not buy this leash! I have two Cavaliers - under 25 lbs - and both leashes broke off at the hook after a few weeks of use! Thank goodness I do not live in the city - it could have been fatal.

I love this product, and I'm pretty sure Twinkie (my puppy) loves it too. At the moment, I'm too afraid to let her off leash when I take her to the park, so this retractable leash allows her to run a good distance when she just wants to play around. She doesn't get tangled as easily because the lead retracts the extra amount. The only slight problem is that the safety collar is awfully big for her. She manages to get both her front legs tangled in it sometimes.

dude this thing looks pretty godo and sleek and it works and its not too expensive and the stopping thing to stop the dog from walking away is good. they dont make a big deal about how it is made they just go like made out of all the basic regular materials but this is a great leash to buy i would recommend this to a friend its awesome go buy one now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have the biggest yard in the neighborhood and I hated taking my dog out to go potty on the short leashes that we had, because I do not like being two feet behind my dog when he is sniffing every inch of the yard. This leash goes almost halfway across the yard at the longest and my dog has the freedom to go wherever he wants without me two steps behind him, and I have the control of the leash. Everybody wins! (I just do not like taking it on the walks becausei'm used to the other laesh i have, but that's just me)

Another Flexi in our kennel, this one for a robust and active Malamute pup of 70 lbs. Perfect for large active breeds -- heavy duty, comfortable grip, large tape, heavier hardware. Only desireable feature might be a brake for the system for a more controlled stop, vs. a cog-like halt.

I have two dogs one 70 pounds and the other 14 pounds. I have always used flexi leashes for Missy my big dog and when we got Charlie I bought a similar retractable leash that was only about $5 cheaper. After only 10 months I had to by Charlie a new leash, because it broke, so I bought him a flexi comfort cord and its great to have two. I had Missy's about 3 years and never had a bit of trouble. Then one afternoon she chewed it up when she got tangled in it and it burned her leg, so I bought the all belt lead and so far we love it! It is much easier to see in the dark and avoid it because of its thickness and bright color(I got the blue one). Now my husband and I no longer have to dance around each other when taking the dogs for a walk afraid we will burn the other with the leash. I will never use another leash for any of my dogs! Thanks flexi for making a comfortable and safe leash for my dogs.

I loved this leash so much that my TABItha is getting a new for Christmas. It is so easy on your hands and just the right length and its the belt kind no more rope burns and safer for your pet.

I like the product, functionality wise it works great, but we noticed that the handle portion was starting to smell -- this is probably from our rough use oustide and handling, but i've tried everything to clean it -- clorox cloth wipes, cleaning with hot water and soap, but the odor is still there. Although ours works fine, we can't stand the smell and are opting for another retractable lead product.

I have tried a few different retractable leads for my small dog, and this one is definitely best. I went through two other non-belt retractables and they both broke within 3-4 months. I finally decided to try this one, and so far it has lasted almost two years. I'm glad I decided to pay the little extra money for this one instead of buying the other ones over and over again. Great product!

The all-belt style is a godsend, keeping my dogs' (and my!) legs safe from cord burns. The flexi system is completely reliable, easy to use, and comfortable in my hand. It lets my dog wander and explore when it is safe for them to do so, and lets me hold them close when cars are near. My dogs love the flexi system!!
