"I love this product. I have been using it for three months now. Living in an apartment, it is cumbersome for me to dispose of kitty litter daily. The liners/bags used inside the litter locker keep in the odor so my small bathroom does not smell. I only have to discard the litter from the locker once every ten days or so, which is a great length of time over daily! Each refill ring lasts a month for my cat. I highly recommend this product!!!"

"We are forced to have our cat's litterbox in our bedroom in our apartment. The litter locker is the best idea anyone has ever had about 'litter duty'. With one cat, we change the cartridge about once a month, emptying it a couple of times until it runs out. There is no smell and no mess. The scoop fits right in the back to keep it from getting anything else dirty. It's a great alternative to using platic sandwich baggies. I can't tell you how wonderful and easy it is! Love it!"

Pros: quick fix (at the time), durable Cons: time consuming in the long run!, expensive to replace refill bags, odor reeking if not cleaned biweekly
"It depends on each person to how useful it will be. I had used it for 2 years and just threw it away a while back because it seemed to be a hassle for me. If you empty it often (not before the role of plastic bag runs out) it would be good to use. If you leave litter in their for over a few days (3 or so) it reeks an odor. Also the bag refill can get expensive to replace. My main problem with it was by the time I would take scissors and cut the bag to throw the part with used litter and then retied the bag, I was wasting a lot of time that I don't have. I now buy mini trash bags and just throw them individually in the trash (much cheaper, cleaner, and less time consuming). Also every now and then the bag inside would tear & cleaning the inside was a pain. I will say that it was very durable & nothing was wrong with it even when I threw it out."

"I am sure there is a place for this product. I used it for about 6 months while I recovered from surgery. It has a large use of plastic. I found that it was not biodegradable. So I might as well as use the grocery plastic bag that are biodegradable. As I checked the box 2x a day I had no problem with odor. Now that I look back on this purchase I don't think it was wise in cost and environmental use."

Great Product, No More Grocery Bags,

"Before I bought this product, I was using grocery bags to dispose of the cat waste. I also didn't have anywhere to put my litter scoop. It is totally odorless and works great. I actually have gone almost a month without emptying it and it still doesn't smell.(Yes, I scoop almost daily.) Well worth the money for a less stinky garbage and more sanitary way of cleaning up the cat box."

"I absolutely love this thing. It sits right next to the boxes which makes it so convenient. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the plastic itself seems to absorb the "smell" on the inside. That's OK for me because I just hose it down with Lysol and let it dry when I change the bags. Another reason is because I think there needs to be more bags in the dispenser. They're not cheap to replace so more would be better. Overall, I do love this and would definitely recommend it to my friends."

"I have no Cons. It's perfect I don't have to find grocery bags to dispose of the waste every day. SO its great for lazy people, so easy a cave man can do it, Its not smelly or bulky or heavy.
I have 2 boy cats 1 huge 18pounder and 1-12pounder and Probably have to dump this thing out every 2 wks maybe no less."

Cons: refill bags are a little expensive
"we have 2 cats and 3 litter boxes and this has been a lifesaver in our condo. we used to use a small lidded trash bin but it never seemed to contain the smells. i saw this at Petsmart one day and thought, "wow! it's like a Diaper Genie for cats!" and i'm so glad we gave it a try. we couldn't be happier with it since it's extremely easy to use and easy to clean. yes, the refill bags are a bit expensive but it's totally worth it to keep a fresh smelling household. i highly recommend this for any cat owner!"

"I love this product! I've been using the litter locker for about 3 months and love it. Can't say that enough. Just not worth it,

Pros: a good idea--if it worked Cons: smells!!, can attract bugs, bags tear, too much litter/waste can cause handle not to turn
"I used this system for 6 months before I finally gave up on it. The bags constantly tore allowing waste to get inside the system. The bags did NOT keep the waste smell from coming through and being absorbed by the unit itself. The smell drove me crazy, to the point that I actually put litter deodorizer in the litter box AND the unit as I scooped. If you put too much of a clump in at one time, the handle was hard to turn. The last straw was the fact that I started attracting bugs INSIDE the unit. These weird little flies were attracted by the smell. I couldn't handle that, so I tossed it in the garbage. Save your money. Get biodegradable bags."

"I have 2 cats, 1 small apartment, 2 litter boxes. one of my cats has food allergies and has the smelliest BM's... seriously it's bad! I scoop the boxes at least once a day, usually more, and have to empty the bag about every 2 weeks. Works AMAZING on keeping the smell locked into the bag and out of my small apartment. I go through a refill about once a month but I am an excessive scooper and probably waste more of the bag then I should. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this product. The scoop that comes with it works alright is a little small but it is nice that there is a spot for it to be kept along with the whole system... well worth the money"

Cons: bags can get to be expensive
"I asked for this as a Christmas present a few years back. I thought it was an excellent idea. I used it for about 8 months and then gave it away. First, it's kind of tricky to get the bags in correctly. Second, it can get to be kind of expensive with buying all those bags. Third, if you have a multi-cat household, better stick with the told covered trash can. By the time you deposit all the solid waste from the ltter box, the locker is full! This is probably not the best item to use if you prefer scoopable litter. Because the liquid waste ends up as solid waste, it overwelms the capacity of the liltter locker quickly."

"I have been using the Litter Locker for at least 4 years. Never had to replace it. It works great. As far as any odor, there is very little, just as others have stated, when changing the bag, you could eliminate that by rolling it once and that way you would have all that extra to type up. (which I think would be a waste) There are no more odors from the trash bag or trash can until trash day. I also use Zero Odor and I spray it on the cat litter and once in a while I spray it on the unit's insides. I have 3 cats and I clean the litter box twice a day (or more) and one cartridge lasts me about 3 weeks. To me, the convenience is well worth it."

"I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes so I keep the litter locker next to them and just scoop, dump and go. It's extremely simple to do and no mess. I also feed my cats Science Diet cat food so naturally their feces and urine hardly have an odor, but now no one can even tell I have cats at all. I would highly recommend this product."

Environmentally Friendly & Very Useful,

"I'm so happy to have bought this Litter Locker. First of all, it's very easy to use and convenient. No need to find a plastic shopping bag, dump the litter in it, tie a knot and throw it in the trash. Just scoop the litter, dump it into the locker (I have mine right beside the litter box) and once finished, turn the lever to seal away the smell! I have to change the bag about once every 3 - 4 weeks which makes it very environmentally friendly; 1 bag for about a month versus 30 separate shopping bags for each day. The plastic that this Litter Locker is made of is rather sturdy and a bit flexible making it pretty much impossible to break. It seals away the odors very well; that is until you need to change the bag when it's full. But that's to be expected. One word of advice, if the bag is full, even if it looks like you could squeeze in one more turn, don't do it! I did it once and it ended up breaking the bag and I had to clean up used litter from inside the locker. Overall, this is a great accessory to have next to the litter box. I would highly recommend it to everyone!"

"I have a particularly stinky cat and this product may have just saved her from going back to the shelter (kidding, but only a little). I am religious about scooping the box every time she goes and I still had a stinky house before trying this product. You could probably accomplish the same effect if you have a kids Diaper Genie lying around that you don't use any longer but this product is inexpensive, simple, and it works. I will say that this product doesn't 100% hide my cat's smell but I think it is a 90% improvment. It will probably completely mask the smell of most cats. For my cat, I do wish there were more odor control, like a filter and thicker bags. But overall a gret product i would buy again."

"I love this product! I have four cats and use it twice a day and have no problem with the smell at all - it is in a closet, with the litter boxes. Go figure! I spray a Febreeze type product on it, whenever I change the bag and I think that really helps eliminate the product taking in the litter smell. My friend who house sits my cats liked it so much that she bought one."
