SSSCAT is an automated spray conditioning system using Multivet's spray technology and a motion detector to protect indoor areas and objects from cats within a radius of one meter.
Only thing I've ever found to keep my 5 cats off the kitchen counters. Bought 2 and set up across from each other to create a cross-fire area. Spray ran out in a couple of weeks. Would have lasted longer, but my husband & I often set them off by walking into range. It's been about 3 weeks since the spray ran out, but cats still won't get up there because of the sound. Considering the reduced stress levels on me, it was still money WELL SPENT!!!

I placed the spray by my front door because my cat was always running out. After the first time it sprayed she stayed away from the front door and still does even though the spray has been removed. The only downside, the whole entire can sprayed out in one day. It would spray even though she wasn't near it.

I purchased this product because one of my 2 cats shakes my bedroom door in its frame while I'm sleeping. He does this so I'll feed him or just because he's lonely. I tried countless methods to get him to stop and nothing worked. Based on some of the reviews of Ssscat from people who were suffering from this same thing, I purchased it. At first it was great; the cat who was at my door was scared of it and I had almost a solid week of blissful, uninterrupted sleep. The problem is that the sensor does not always detect movement and doesn't go off. I've run my hand back and forth over the sensor for almost 30 seconds and it doesn't go off. I thought it was because it was too dim in the hallway and then turned my nightlight on without a cover only a few feet in front of the Ssscat and still it doesn't always go off. This has allowed my cat the chance to sneak past it and shake my door. I thought maybe that particular unit was defective and purchased another; the same thing happened with the second one. After using this for about 2-3 months now, every night, he is no longer afraid of it. I don't fault the product for the fact that my cat is like the Terminator and won't be stopped, but I am disappointed that I've found the product not to be 100%.

I have an adult cat that started to potty in a corner. No where else, just that corner. Not really sure why. I tried all of the standard training techniques and nothing worked. So after 2 weeks I bought a ssscat and put it in the corner. she went over there once and got a spray in the face. Since them she will not come within 20 feet if the canister. This is the best product i have seen to modify a cats behavior.

I won't deny that this product does what it claims to do. My fiance and I bought it to keep our cats from scratching at the bedroom door at night and it worked perfectly. The problem is that the refills don't last very long and we found ourselves buying a refill weekly. It's just too expensive to maintain.

I'm in the process of trying to train a 7 month old stray that was given to me before christmas. I bought scattt to keep him from jumping on the stove. It did work but not on him. My other 2 older cats were scared to death and ran all over the place. My kitten waited until the spray was used up and pranced around on the stove. I've also tried Sticky Paws and a Citrus Spray. We are now waiting for this alarm mat to come in that I will cover the counter with. I will get him trained soon. Just a little more work than expected.

My kitties would start banging on my bedroom door starting around 2a because they were simply in the throes of starving to death. This would go on for HOURS until I gave up and fed them. At one point one of my cats started ripping up the carpet by my door to get my attention!
I tried automatic feeders but that same cat has broken into all of them to get the food.
After the first night of using this product and it going off twice, they haven't banged on my door since! I only wish I would've found this sooner!
And my carpet hasn't been touched either! Yay all around!

I used the product on the counter as well on the ground in front of the garbage can where my cat liked to hang out. The SSSCat puff of air was enough to get his attention, and he did in fact stop jumping on the counters, and he stays away from the garbage for the most part. I liked that it wasnt too loud or intrusive. Also since I prefer not to squirt water or yell at my cat this solution was very helpful. I do wish the refills were a little less expensive, but overall I am pleased, as it did do what I needed it to do. I will probably buy another refill soon, as my new kitty hasnt learned to keep off counters like my first one has.

I have four new cats and they literally climbed in and around my artifical tree last year, destroying it. This year I was determined to have a tree and after reading the great reviews of this product I decided it was worth trying because it just isn't Christmas without a tree. After one day my cats won't go near that side of the room, knowing the can is there. They occasionally check to see if it's there and turn around and avoid the tree area. It has also helped with our cat who scratches the bedroom door at night to get me to give him water in the tub. What a wonderful, harmless way to keep the cats from bothering an area of the house.

Best Christmas Tree Defense

This is an excellent product for Christmas tree defense! We have five cats and every year we had problems with the cats in the tree and knocking down the tree. This year we put a can of Ssscat at the base of the tree when we put the tree up. Each cat had to discover the peril of going under the tree on their own, but now they all fear the big green monster in the corner. The price seemed high, but it is well worth the money to take away one part of holiday stress. I plan to buy more of these for other areas of the house where we want to keep the cats away. The refill cans are pricy, but I am sure that I can retro fit a less expensive can of compressed air to the motion sensor.
One hint with the Christmas tree; place the can toward the front of the tree facing to the back. This way you don’t set it off just by walking near the tree, and it activates when the cats go under the tree.

We bought this product after reading great reviews. The motion sensor didn't always set it off. We exchanged it hoping it was a glitch and the second one is worse.... For the price its not worth it at all. Returning the product tomorrow.

This product is fantastic. I used it to keep our cat off a new recliner, which we had to buy to replace a recliner on which the cat repeatedly urinated. After two cans of spray, which was mostly used when we forgot to turn off the detector while at home, the cat will not even think about going on the recliner. It has saved me a great deal of anxiety and cleaning time. The spray was 100% harmless to our leather recliner and, when set off, the range of spray covered the entire recliner area.
Other reviewers had a hard time attaching the motion detector to the bottle. I had no problem at all, but would recommend putting the bottle on a low service to get more leverage to press down.
The refill cans are expensive but it only took two cans for us, and that's only because we set off the can ourselves by accident. It's been 3 months since getting the new recliner and 2 months since turning the can off. Our cat still steers clear of the recliner.
Whoever invented this product is a genius and I can't thank them enough.

I used this after seeing my cat try to scratch the side of my brand new sofa. Well, not anymore! I don't even have to keep it on anymore, she just has to see it and she will run away from that area. I love how there are no toxins or chemicals. This is well worth the money.

Although this product sounds like a good solution it is poorly designed and manufactured. The first one I bought would NEVER turn on and activate....no spray...nothin! Then...try to find any information as to why this might be and there is zero in the way of any support or troubleshooting information. It may seem easy for extremely intuitive folks but when products that involve mechanical, electrical, AND compressed gases don't function as advertised they have about a zero chance of not getting broken while fiddling with the various components that make uo this better mousetrap....very dissappointing!

I absolutly love this product. My husband and I had and issue with two of our cats. Both of them tended to scratch and try to open or bedroom door when we would go to bed. The female would meow non stop at the door as well. Waking us up and frustrating the both of us. I seen one of these used on the animal planet show "My Cat from He ll" then spotted it at petsmart. My husband thought it would be a waste of money, now we are both soooo grateful for this product. I have had it for four days and since after the first night neither one of my cats will go near my bedroom door. What a heaven sent product. Thank you for the return of a peaceful nights sleep.

I had a cat that loooooved to urinate on the couches. Took him to the vet -- it was behavioral, not physical. We tried medications, calming/soothing collars and wall-plug ins, and pretty much every type of spray deterrent we could find at the store. NOTHING kept him off the furniture. I bought a few Ssscat sprayers and set them up on the end tables at the end of each couch, and he learned very quickly that he couldn't jump up on the furniture. He went back to using his litter box right away. Within a month or two, the spray canisters had run out, but he had been conditioned to stay off the couches, so I didn't have to buy a refill. It's been nearly a year, and that cat still won't go near the couches, and he is still using the litter box like he should. I also use these to keep the dogs out of the garbage can when I'm going to be out of the house for a while. They are well worth the money.

I've had problems with my 4 year old cat for years relating to him meowing in the night. Lately we've tried closing the bedroom door but he just sits outside and howls. I tried the kitty 'calming' serums, like what GNC makes and these gave us some relief but he still meowed early in the morning when he woke up.
I used this product in conjunction with the calming product. I heard the spray go off and he ran away and for the whole night no meowing! I woke up in the morning and he was sitting on the couch perfectly awake and gentlemanly waiting for me to come out and say hello. This product is a miracle worker! So much more effective than opening the door and spraying kitty with a sprayer because your presence reinforces the behavior. I am so happy!

I needed something to keep my girls away from my Christmas tree, that has loads of ornaments. The Ssscat works great! One on each side of the tree & they take off when it goes off! Hoping this will last. Ssscat worked great. keeping them away from my large palm plant! It is pricey, but worth the $$$. I bought refills in bulk (6) & it was much cheaper. LOVE THIS!

One of my cats was at my bedroom door every morning by 5:30 meowing, banging at the door and ripping up the carpet and was extremely persistent. I was desperate for sleep and decided to try Ssscat. The first morning I heard it go off at 5:23 and then a cat bounding down the stairs. It went off again a few minutes later and twice more that hour. Since then it has not gone off and I haven't heard even a meow outside my door and it's been 3 weeks. So far I'm very pleased!

Ssscat to the rescue! I adopted a beautiful Russian Blue from my local shelter about 7 months ago that I could not stop from peeing (and sometimes pooping) on the tile in the corner of my kitchen. He knew where his litter box was and would use it most of the time, but would choose to do his business in his "spot" in the kitchen once or twice per day. I literally tried EVERYTHING to get him to stop...thorough clean-up with Nature's Miracle, placing stinky moth balls in the area, putting his food in the spot, tin foil, citrus oil, calming collars, deterrent sprays, Feliway, Dr Elsey's cat attract litter...nothing worked.
I'm happy to say that after placing a Ssscat device in the kitchen, we've been two weeks without an incident! Now he won't even go into the kitchen and happily trots over to his litter box every time he needs to go. It didn't take him long to figure it all out...I got immediate results. In fact, I think I have set it off accidently more times than the cat has! He wants nothing to do with the kitchen or the can of Ssscat.
Thanks to Ssscat, my sanity has been restored! It's been nice not scrubbing my floor every day...and also nice not using up tons of paper towels each week!
