Does not reduce odor,
July 2, 2008
by JRCATS9
from West Palm Beach, FL
"I found that this product did not reduce the odor in the trays. It also does not adhere very well to the lids. I found that they were falling off into the waste receptacles. I have since quit using them and I have not noticed a difference without them."

Love This,
February 13, 2008
by magnoliablossom

"It works wonderful, but it does not adhere well. I just use a piece of packing tape and that solves the problem. I love the fact that I am not aware that there is even a litter box in the room."

Serves no purpose,
November 27, 2007
by Photogato
from Cincinnati, OH
"We didn't see any reduction in litter odors resulting from using the carbon filters. Also the filters would not stay adherred to the litter tray top for more than a few days. Sprinkling baking soda on the disposed litter in the tray was more effective."

Needs work,
October 24, 2007
by mothercat
from Washington, DC
"I am sorry, but the problem I had with the carbon filter was that it would not stick to the lid. My nose is not good any more so I can't say if it did or did not do the job intended. I simply kept finding the little packet in the used litter container, often buried."

disappointment,
July 19, 2007
by LashaD
from Andrews, Tx
"The filters do not stay stuck to the lids. After a few minutes they fall off down into the cartridge and they never work. I used up a whole box in almost 2 weeks thinking maybe some were messed up. They did not help with the smell at all. Don't waste your money on these."

Considering how much it smells without them..,
March 27, 2007
by JayC
from Atlantic City, NJ
"I have a large cat. He uses the box 5-6 times a day. When I first got the littermaid, I was happy as was my boy, Dakota. They do have problems sticking on their own, but one piece of sctoch tape holds them in, until it's full, plus, when I first ran out(I thought I had one more) that rooms odor went up more then 50% It keeps the air clean, I think they work fine. The box, does require a bit of cleaning now and again. But it doesn't require all the nasty work, any normal litterbox does!"

Waste of money,
February 6, 2007
by CorgiGuy
from North Texas
"The LitterMaid Mega Elite came with 4 of these. I only used two of them. They will not stick to the lid and I cannot tell that they even do anything. There is no difference with it or without it. Just another ploy from the manufacturer to try to get more of your money."

Dont Buy,
January 13, 2007
by Cats12
from San Antonio, TX
"I too have the same issue with these. The filters will not stay stuck to the receptacle lid. They are worthless and a waste of your money. Once my Littermaid boxes break (I know they will soon, because I have bought 4-not learning my lesson) I will try out another brand for an electric litter box."

Carbon Replacement Filters,
December 3, 2006
by bvanessa

"I am sorry I spent money on these filters. The idea sounded great, but ever since we started using them, they have fallen into the littermaid receptacle within the space of 1 day. Not worth the time, money or effort."

Waste of money?,
November 26, 2006
by J2r81786
from Richmond Virginia
"I bought the Litter Maid for my two cats, they wouldn't use the Litter Maid because they did not like the litter that the company recondmended. I still continued to use it with the same litter but only showed to be a greater hassle than what I payed for. The cats over time started to use it. So that worked out in the long run.
My point is however is I wouldn't recondmend buying the carbon packs, they would only fall off the plastic top and mix up with the rest of the left overs from my cats.
Not only that but the plastic containers are very flimsy, and made it hard to pick up and clean. Everytime I would move the Litter Maid to clean it, there would be a lot of litter underneath it.
I returned my Litter Maid today and bought a old fashioned litter box that is round with a lid on it. Worth it, I took my refund and bought about three months supply of food and litter. Completely worth it. Thank you Pets Mart."
