"I wanted something quick and easy to use, so I asked my groomer and she recommended this. When I saw it, I thought , NO WAY. But I was very impressed when I used it. It is easy to clean, the hair does not fly everywhere when you use it, my dog thinks she is getting a massage. If you brush from the top down, the hair will gather where you brush to. I just pile it up to the bottom and then pick up a handful of hair and throw it away. I really do like this product."

"I didn't think this would really work with its shape and being rubbery... but thats where I was wrong! I have two Chi's with short coats, but with quick short brushes from the neck back, more hair than I knew the pups had was flying off. Plus its so much more gentle than the combs and brushes I was using before. I would totally recommend this product to people with short hair dogs."

"I was told to get this ZoomGroom by a friend-I LOVE it. On a Beagle, removes the ENTIRE undercoat and some dead skin, leaving skin healthy and coat shiny. The trick is to move it up and down, like scrubbing a floor, instead of unidirectional. You won't BELIEVE how much fur comes out. My dog HATES brushes and will run-she sat for the entire time, not wanting me to stop-it feels like a massage to her!"

"A friend of mine who works at Petsmart told me about this brush but as many other people, I was really skeptical because of the material. She showed me a demo on her dogs and I was hooked! I bought one for my English Bulldog and it's great though it feels so good she gets squirmy and likes to thump her legs, haha. I'll be getting some for my parents as a gift for their chihuahuas. Great product!"

"I have a beagle/foxhound mix that sheds constantly. He hates the bristle brushes and I was at a loss as to what to use...I asked one of the Banfield Vet people at PetSmart and she recommended this product. I was very doubtful, but 1)it gets a lot of hair off and 2)my dog loves it and even lays down to let me brush him...he thinks he is getting a massage. It has made a big difference in the hair shedding. Great product!"

"This thing is AMAZING! I was VERY skeptical, but I figured for $9, I'd give it a try. Why is this on the bottom shelf at petsmart? This is seriously the only brush they need to sell. I was about to drop $30 on one of those brushes that get under your dog's coat, I'd been borrowing it from a neighbor and really liked this. Then I saw this and my dog loves the Kong toys, so I figured I'd try it out. I've never seen anything like it! I have a lab (short hair) and the hair was just flying off of him. Thank goodness I did it outside! I can't believe this thing is only $9 and that it works so well. Go get one- you will never buy another brush!"

"After spending about 15 minutes looking at all the dog brushes in Petsmart, I thought I found the best one for the best price. When I got to the register the cashier recommend that I actualy get this one instead. So I did & so glad that I did. It was not only a lower price it works so good. my dog loves it & it is easy to clean! My friend got one also & loves it to!"

"After reading reviews about this product, I decided to give it a whirl. It works great, I have a Lhasa Apso and it gets all the loose hairs, plus it massages her without hurting her. I love to also use this when giving her a bath, it gets the shampoo deeply massaged into her coat promoting a better clean since her hair is thick and long. The only thing I would recommend is doing this outside because the hairs just fly off the dog."

"My dog has a double coat, and is shedding his winter coat and his puppy coat.i had tried almost everything else there was and nothing would work. I was very skeptical of the zoom groom i didnt think it would do anything. but it acctually took out all of the loose hair. was very comfortable to hold in my hand. after a couple of light pressured strokes all the hair was gone. now i can pet him without getting a handfull of hair"

Pros: easy to use
"This is the greatest product! I have a small short hair dog that sheds so much. I have tired every brush and comb you can buy. I decided to ask a petsmart groomer to recommend a product and she recommended this. She had one at her grooming table and showed me how it worked before I bought it. I was amazed! "This is one of the best tool I own I have a wire hair smooth coat Jack Russel Terrier and I have used a shedding blade before but it was very pain ful to use it left open wounds on her back but when I discovered this brush works wonders on her coat my dogs loved to eat it though they ate some of the rubber backing but it still works some times I use it to massage them when I give them a bath If they are dirty enough"

"my 4 month gsd mix does not like being brushed, but she is already shedding a whole lot. and this gets the job done, and i know it's not hurting her skin and back. i'm now using it on my greyhound pit mix who sheds way too much, unlike holly she likes being brushed, the hair just flys off, and what doesn't gets caught in the base of the brush and peels right out. highly recommend!"

"We ordered a raspberry Zoom Groom for our Shih Tzu puppy. She is a little princess with a very soft personality. She usually isn't crazy about her fur being brushed with the bristle brush we had before but over time she has gotten accustomed to staying still for short spells before she runs away. We just tried Zoom Groom and she seems to love it. She turns her body making sure we get all sides and even rolls on her back for us to brush her tummy. We will still use the bristle brush for grooming knots, but for everyday brushing Zoom Groom is perfect. Her fur not only looks great, she also gets a doggie massage when we use it."

Pros: fur doesn't stick to it, gets rid of a lot of fur quickly, fits in hand really well Cons: might get destroyed if dog gets it.
"It may look silly but it works! Yesterday was the first day I used this and could not get over the amount of fur on the ground! Seila loves being brushed by the Zoom Groom. I can't wait to try it in the tub the next time she gets a bath! Her fur is easily blown off the "bristles" if it doesn't fall off by itself. Extremely pleased with this product."

"I like the Kong Zoom Groom because it's flexible and it doesn't scratch the dog's skin. It's so gentle compared to those wire bristle brushes. It actually does remove hair pretty well, and it works just as well in the tub. Dogs love the massage it gives them, making grooming easier and quicker... You don't have to chase them around the house when you want to brush them! It's also easy to clean. It's one big piece of rubber, with no little edges or slots to get dirt stuck in. It's easy to rinse off. I'd say this is a staple for in the tub and daily brushing!"

"My husband loves our dog but he would always jokingly say "If that dog doesn't stop shedding before we get in our new home, he's out of here". I knew he meant it as a joke but I think he was a little serious to some point. So I went out to the pet store to buy the Furminator because I saw it on television and looked at the reviews and they all had 5 star ratings. I picked it up, walked toward the cash register and one of the pet groomers there stopped me and said "You don't need to spend that much money". I told her my dog was a short-haired mutt so I figured this would work the best since I don't know exactly how big he will get. She said that it costs more to keep the Furminator up than the intial purchase. Then, she showed me the zoom groom and said "I know it doesn't look like much but it works wonders". So, I took a leap of faith, brought it home and made it a point to keep the reciept because I just knew that it wouldn't work. I took my pup into the tub (without water) and started rubbing him with it in a soft, circular motion and OH MY GOODNESS...I did not realize how much hair could be on something so little. Not to mention that my dog always struggles when we wash him but he just sat there and enjoyed the "message". This simple little tool works wonders and it's the best 10 bucks I've ever spent in my life. I'm not sure how it works on larger breeds but on the smaller breeds...its got my vote!"
