"We have 2 Tonkinese and have never really brushed them because they are short hair. However we do have cat hair everywhere! We bought the dog version on recomendation for our dog and decided to try it on the cats. Oh my gosh I could make a whole new cat with all the hair that I got off of them with this brush. I couldn't believe it. I use it every couple days and it makes a world of differance. It got left behind on our vacation and so we are going out to get this one as soon as Christmas is over. Can't live without it now that we have tried it."

Fools my cat into thinking 'massage' not 'brush',

"Like many cats, my 1 yr old siamese isn't keen on being brushed. I suppose he thinks he is being 'massaged' with this grooming tool. Now he will lay down and let me rake this across his back. It doesn't seem like this tool would do anything, but it really does.
I recommend putting down a comfy blanket or towel to both signal that it's 'brush time' and to catch any loose hairs. Use long strokes to relax the cat, then work in short strokes to pick up fur. After every few passes, stop and pick the fur clumps out of the rubber 'teeth.' I usually have a nice hair blob by the time I'm done."

"I LOVE this product!!!! I have a MaineCoon and the amount of fur I got out from the other brushes doesn't compare to the amt. you get out from this brush. My cat doesn't like the rubber smell but I just stay away from his neck and he does fine with it. You have to use this with other brushes because it will not keep the undercoat fur from matting, but it will help with the amt. of fur your cat ingests from grooming. Highly recomend!!!!!"

"I tried this on a few of the cats at my local animal shelter and I couldn't believe how much hair was coming off them! They were both shorthair so I didn't really think they shed that much, but after like 10 strokes the brush was COATED with fur! "As they say in baseball, "It's a swing & a miss..."! STRIKE! No, we didn't like this groomer/brush at all & neither did our cats! For starters, although we're sure it's designed to be a "good" shape for the hand, it felt somewhere between really awkward to hold/use & downright painful! Also, it seemed to create a lot of static which may bother animals more than humans 'cause our cats were pretty unhappy about it. So far -- no good, but, we kept trying thinking there HAS to be something to this! Either it's going to do a great job of getting out the dead hair or the cats are really going to start enjoying the "massage" aspect of it or both. Wrong! Think we filed this one under "G" for "Garbage" shortly after that. Broke out the trusty, old slicker brushes & everyone, humans & cats, lived happily ever after! (BTW, if this item works for you & your cats, we're sincerely happy for all of you! That wasn't our experience but we respect any opinions or reviews which disagree w/ours!)"

"I've tried other items to get at the underhair that gets trapped and nothing seemed to work. I stopped by the Groomer Salon in the local PetSmart and asked about cat grooming. I was in luck and the ladies that specialized in cat grooming were on duty and recommended this little beauty. "In general, Tiger sheds more, while Tuffy has more hairball problems. Likely this is because they groom each other. Fortunately, Tiger enjoys being brushed. I was concerned now, coming into shedding season and they're both doing it, because Tuffy can't stand brushing. Thinking that if one didn't work the other might, I bought both the kong and the gloves. Of course Tiger loves her grooming sessions. I can groom her long and vigorously, and she just purrs. Pleasant surprise, even Tuffy tolerated the kong long enough to do a passable job of collecting loose hair, which is more than I can say for how she reacts to brushing. I'd noticed many reviews that said the kong doesn't trap the hairs, and I found that not to be my experience. There is a quite a bit of flyaway, but that's where the gloves come in. In conjunction, the kong loosens the hair and in my experience traps most of them, while the gloves take care of the fine-tuning. Both of them together are better than either one alone."

"Now that I have purchased the KONG Zoom Groom, I know that I cannot live without it! It has made such an incredible difference in my cats' coats, and it definitely reduces the amount of hair laying around the house.
Neither of my cats are very fond of being groomed, which was a problem, because even though they are shorthaired cats, they still shed like mad. I have tried numerous grooming tools, and so far, all but one other have failed. Either they did not remove enough hair, or the cats despised being brushed by them.
I decided to give the Zoom Groom a try after reading so many great reviews of it on the internet, and let me tell you, I was not dispointed in the slightest! I am so happy with this tool, and the best part is that it only cost me $8! It removes SO much fur, and I have noticed a significant difference in the quality of their coats and the amount of hair that needs to be vaccumed up every day!!
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a shorthaired cat. You will be amazed with the amount of hair it removes and how great it makes their coat look. Even my cats love this tool, purring the entire time I use it. This is a great product, for a great price, and it was definitely worth every penny! I will continue to use this tool for a very long time!"

"My youngest cat dislikes grooming enough that it wasn't worth making him so unhappy. I saw this product, and read a few reviews but never thought it would work. I decided to give it a try as it was a small price to pay if he didn't like it. My youngest not only likes it, he comes to me to be groomed! My eldest cat is groomed daily as he sheds a lot and I have different tools I've used for him that cost 3 or 4 times what this did. Just yesterday I thought I would give this a try on him and I got a whole cats worth of hair from him AFTER I had already groomed him and he was so happy with it he didn't want me to stop and followed me around meowing! This has to be the best grooming product I've got in 15 years! It’s very easy to use and hold on to unlike some products. Very user friendly and will make your pet very happy as it massages at the same time as removing hair and making the coat shinier. You can’t go wrong try it today!"

"Cats who hate to be brushed will love this. Plus...I use the flat side to get the hair off my furniture...it works great! They really should advertise it as a hair remover from fabric because it does a great job and is a lot easier than scotch tape. I have given them as gifts to friends with furry animals and fabric seat cars.
It's a cinch to get the hair out of, just rub your hand across the top. But if you want to deep clean it, just soak in warm vinegar water."
