I adopted a dog from the local shelter and unfortunately within a few days our new dog had chewed into everything from carpets, clothing, electrical cords, papers; you name it, she got it! I was left with the choice of either finding her a new home or finding something that could replace the things she found comfort in chewing up! I have tried countless toys, and numerous sprays but nothing worked, until I bought Nylabone Big Chew Dog Toy! She instantly took to this toy and never parted ways with it! It was always by her side and she never chewed on anything else except the Nylabone! My dog and myself absolutely love this toy and I highly recommend it to any dog owner! Trust me, your dog will thank you for such a great gift!

I have two dogs right now, and I got this for my big dog and he loves chewing on it! My little dog likes chewing on it too! And it IS very durable!!! :D

My 65lb Lab/Shepherd is a seriously determined chewer. He'll gnaw away all day long without distraction, and Nylabone is the only thing that he isn't able to destroy in 20 minutes. However, the Knot has proven to be even better than the original Durable Nylabones, because he hasn't been able to gnaw the ends into canine prison shanks. He has the best of intentions, I'm sure...but I don't want to play with the bone dagger that he has fashioned. Original Durable Nylabones last about 1-2 months. The Knot has lasted 4-6. Amazing!

Pros: absurdly long-lasting, makes a great distraction for rainy days

Cons: slightly expensive but has proven to be worth it!

My husband and I spent a fortune on dog toys that were quickly destroyed, and because our dogs are agressive chewers, large portions of them were swollowed. These Nylabones are incredibly durable. They withstand constant chewing and do not break apart. I was hesitant to purchase due to the price, but now I see the light. For the money we wasted I kick myself. I don't believe anyone will regret this investment. Make yourself happy and your dog content and go ahead and spend th money.

My dog Koda is 85 lbs. and loves to chew. He is a lab husky mix and has a very strong jaw. He carries his knot bone around with him all the time! He loves it because it fits perfectly in his mouth to carry. He enjoys chewing on the knots at the ends and has worn them down pretty good. I usually give him a new one every 6-12 months depending on the wear of the bone. He cannot break off chunks of the bone so I do not have to worry about choking. The bone does get worn down as he chews so it eventually does need to be replaced. I have bought the regular dog bone shaped nylabones before as well as another that is thicker but isn't a knot. He will not chew those! He only likes the big bone knots! I would highly reccomend this bone!

MY DOg absolutely LOVES this Item!! My dog loves playing fetch, and tug of war with this bone, on top of that it's perfectly healthy for him. I would say it's one of his favorite toys, has multiple uses not just a bone to chew on, an absolute must for any dog, and comes in small sizes! Would recommend to all.

We have the plain (not knotted) bone and are VERY pleased with the purchase. Our pit mix has some tough chompers. Even the most expensive toys (aside from his Kong) are destroyed in minutes, literally. We were shopping for the Galileo when we saw this newer model. Pooch was a little weirded out by it at first (probably texture). Rubbed some tasty meat juice on it, though, and now he uses it regularly. It is VERY durable, easy to clean, and doesn't make a mess. I think this one's sticking around awhile! And we will definitely buy another!

My dog and I feel misled by the web reviews we read. Jelly is a 1 year old, 40 pound, Spaniel/Beagle mix. Within 5 minutes he had the end of this bone splintered and our family room floor was on the verge of being littered with pieces of this so called durable bone.

My dog, though 23 lbs., is a hard chewer and can be quite destructive. He's had this almost a year, but you wouldn't know it to look at it. He's barely made a dent in it. Would recommend this for all strong chewers.
