Urine EVERWHERE!

I purchased this litterbox for its compact size and I purchased liners to make litter changes easier. My cat does NOT assume a full squat position when she urinates so when she does her business, shes urinates on the inside of the dome. When the urine drips down the inside of the dome, it drips out the bottom of the dome which urine ends up on the floor. I cannot find a litterbox where the lid fits on the INSIDE of the base so that urine drips back into the litter, not my floor. I tried using a large liner and had to rig it so that the liner is up against the inside of the dome. What a pain in the neck. I've also tried litterboxes with clip-on lids and they are no better - she still urinates high and the urine drips down the sides of the lid and onto the clips and still, urine on the floor.

My cat loves this litter box. She goes inside this litter box/dome instead of just sticking her rear in and going in one spot. It also fits better into the space that I have.

Last year I adopted my first two kittens and wanted to get the best of everything. I purchased the Booda Dome litter box and it has been a very good investment for me. My cats took to it right away without hesitation. I live in a small apartment and was concerned about containing elimination odors and the dome has keep them to a minimum. The dome also serves as a visual barrier against unsightly materials that are deposited between box cleanings.
I use Feline Pine clumping litter in my Booda Dome. The 2 products work so well together that when sister came to visit for the first time since I adopted my cats she actually commented on how happy she was that the apartment DID NOT smell like cat urine.
Recently my guys learned how to open the filter cover and remove the filter so I have been just going without it. Even in that condition the odor control is still very good.

It's easy to find a place for it anywhere. The lid keeps the room from smelling and litter from getting everywhere. There's a handle at the top that makes it easy to open and clean. I love it! :)
The only down side is that it's small and is just big enough for my 4 month old kitten. I'm going to have to get a new one when my kitten gets bigger.

Worthless for adult cats

I bought this for a covered screened in porch. I wanted a domed unit so slight rain spray would not get in. The larger cats (15 lbs or so) will not even go in. The smaller cats go in and promptly lift their rears and urinate right out the door. Even if they do happen to turn around, the urine goes right between the pan lip and the dome cover edge. It has little if any worth. I spent half my time cleaning up urine from all over the floor. It may work for kittens, but NOT for adult cats.

I Love This Litter Box!

I can't begin to tell you how many different kinds of litter boxes I've had over the years. From very basic to fancy boxes like Litter Maid (ick!!) and boxes that you roll over to clean, I've spent a lot of money through the years. I found the Booda litter box at PetSmart a couple of months ago and I just love it! First of all, it's round, so it's easy to scoop out messes since they don't get buried in the corners. Second, the box is deep which is a nice feature. I was a little worried the hooded cover wouldn't have a large enough opening to keep my "fluffier" cat (okay, so she weighs 20 lbs., she's very cuddly!), but it's large enough for her. Plus, I really love the filter feature, between that and the cover there is absolutely no cat box odor in my home. And it's affordable! I can't say enough good things about this litter box. I know one thing, I won't ever need to look for another litter box after this. And now I can spend more $$$ on cat toys!!!

We have 7 cats and so far have replaced 3 of the 5 litter pans with this covered dome. The cats love it, they can dig to their hearts content and the litter stays in the pan. Cleaning is easy- no corners to scrape! As for the problems mentioned about square scoops, we have always just used a stainless steel slotted cooking spoon anyway, just right for scooping around the edge of the pan.

If my cat doesn't get her box scooped or she gets a new box, she "does it on the floor". But we got this one and found no accidents! Ours came with a filter to keep smells in and we haven't smelled a thing! Our old one smelled terrible. It takes up very little space. Fits in any corner! You're getting your money's worth!

I knew this offer seemed to be too good to be true & I should have stuck to my gut feeling. After throughoughly researching this product & reading others' reviews, I decided to order this cat box online. I was shocked to see that the items was priced less than two dollars. I reread the item description several times & even printed out the order confirmation that contained a photo of the cat box that I was ordering. When the package finally arrived, it was a cat litter scoop! The packaging slip in the box even indicated that I had ordered a cat box, not a scoop. I am very dissapointed that I had to pay shipping on an item that I never even wanted.

I bought this as an upgrade to my kitten's simple, classic litter box. We're both a lot happier. He (and all of his stuff) lives in my bedroom due to the two big dogs that need some time to adjust to the little guy. Because of this living arrangement, odour control was a major priority of mine. It's perfect. He also seems to have a great sense of privacy, but it's open enough that I can still check to see if he's in there while scanning the room for the little troublemaker. All in all, it's a great value. It doesn't take up too much space, has outstanding odour control, is easy to clean, and holds litter in if you have a cat that like to fling it. He even to to it readily. Buy it!
Pros: good looking, doesn't take up too much space, outstanding odour control, no catflap so kitty takes easily to it

I have 6 cats, one of which was having a hard time turning around in her old, square litter box, so I decided to try this one! It has quickly become the house favorite. All 6 cats love using this litter box. Its big enough so that they can turn around inside of it, but its not too big. It also has a filter to help keep the smell down. As a cat lady, I give this box 5 stars!

Because this box is round, it's a little hard to scoop and the feces & urine stick to the sides of box. Since most scoops are square-shaped, you really have to scrape at the sides of the box to get it all. This also breaks up the clumps into small, hard to scoop pieces. Because it's round, it doesn't fit in my space very well. It's cute though. Hint: you can cut the square air filters to fit it, if you can't find round ones easily.
Pros: cute
Cons: odd shape, hard to scoop

Great alternative to traditional litter boxes

I own two Booda Domes because my younger cat kicks litter around like crazy. Fortunately this covered litter box solved the problem. The only thing is, my other cat likes to urinate in the creases of the litter box, and in a circular box it's hard to clean the creases without breaking up the urine clumps. Overall this is a wonderful product which also hides unsightly litter box contents from guests and helps a bit with odor control.
Pros: comes in many colors, hides waste, keeps some odor in
Cons: creases are difficult to scoop

Best Litter Box!

I have two very large 20 lb cats and they love this box. I have the smaller one with out the stairs. My 20 lb cat that can stand on his hind legs and put his paws easily on the kitchen counter easily fits in the box. I originally bought the triangular box that fits in a corner but the cats hated it-they went to the bathroom in front of the box instead of in the box. The booda dome fixed the problem, no more going potty out side the box, the cats like the round shape. And its cute and fits well in my small apartment.
Pros: fits well in small spaces
Cons: cats tend to knock the top off

I bought this for my cat because:
1. It was covered
2. It's very compact
3. It looks nice
Great box. Since it's round there are no hard corners to try and clean. It doesn't take up too much room on the floor, but is very roomy inside for cats.
Pros: easy to clean, contains odors well

My Cat Thinks It's a New House!!

I set up my cat's "bathroom" area with this new litter box and a brand new litter mat, and he seemed very confused. He put his head in the hole, sniffed at the litter, pulled his head out, and then looked at me with confusion.
I took the lid off the litter pan, put the lid out of his view, and he jumped right into the new pan to do his normal business.
Apparently he doesn't understand the round hood over his "potty" and relates it to his bed. After struggling with him for two days about the lid, I ended up placing the lid near one of his napping areas, put a pillow in it, and he jumped right in for a nap!! He loves his new bed-Ha ha!!!
I think if I would have stayed with a rectangular-style litter box, he would have been just fine.
So, he has a new round pan to go potty in, and a new domed kitty bed. 2 for 1, huh? We are both happy with the outcome, and the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of five is to let others know that thier cat might behave the same way if they are used to a squared lid on thier box.
Oh, I wanted to mention the size of the box because I was concerned about that. My kitty is HUGE, tipping the scales at 23 pounds, and he fits through the opening and inside the dome and pan without problems.
If you buy the pan liners, make sure you get Jumbo. The liner that comes with the unit was not even big enough for the pan!! I bought the Jumbo's for replacement, and they are purrfect.
Pros: i ended up with a litter pan and a covered bed
Cons: i didn't end up with a covered litter pan

I really like this litter box. I like that it has a lid that covers it, a liner (even though I haven't bought any replacement liners since the initial one that came with it) and the filter. My only complaint is that I wish the lid could snap on and off for carrying. Otherwise, I think it's the perfect size and very attractive looking for the house.
Pros: liner, filter
Cons: lid doesn't snap on

I love this litter box. I have several for my cat to use, and this is the one she chooses the most. It has an attractive design and several guests have not noticed the litter box in the room. I usually turn the top of the lid around so the opening cannot be seen from the entrance of the room. The top fits loosely onto the deep bottom part, but not loose enough for litter particles or any other mess to fall out. I like it better than a normal hooded litter box since I can just lift the top off and scoop, versus unlatching, latching, and trying to get the top on just right. The box has room inside for the cat to turn around without having to fold itself up. Although I have a smaller cat, a larger cat would have enough room.
