I bought this scooper mostly because of the handy hide-away feature. I figured I could keep it near the litter box without it being glaringly visible. Honestly, that's the only thing this scooper is good for.
It's flimsy, so much so, that soiled litter would fling up towards my face as I was scooping. Another problem, litter would get trapped in the ridges on both sides of the scooper, making it next to impossible to thoroughly clean it. The trapped litter would then slowly collect at the bottom of the holder. One word...ick!
It was a good idea in theory, however, the design of the scoop is the real problem. I threw it out after using it for a few days. I can't recommend this item.

I love the fact that my scooper is enclosed. Yes, it has jagged edges but you just have to work a little more to really clean the bottom or sides of the litter box. The enclosure hides any smell which I love. Need to buy another one though, after a year, because the scooper has just gotten too "gunky."

I thought it would be nice to have a scooper with its own case but that is the only good thing about it. The scooper is horrible. It doesn't clean the bottom of the box at all. It has no flat edge to really scrape the litter box clean and it is very flimsy. I think it packed the wet litter to the bottom of the liter box more than it actually cleaned it. I had to go out and buy another scooped to clean what this one left behind.

I know other people seemed to give this product good reviews, but I hate it. I like the idea of having a place to hide and store the scoop while not in use, but the scoop itself is horrible. It is not very sturdy and I find it extremely difficult to scoop clumps up with it. We had to throw our old scoop away because it cracked, but it takes me twice as long to clean the litter box with this new scoop and I still can't get it completely clean!

Well both of my cats Faith & Dakini love to watch me work; yet they find other chores I do much more entertaining. This scoops works very well and I do highly recommend it. It also neatly stores away when not in use.
