"I adopted 2 ragdoll brother that seemed to have a problem with loose stools( not good when you have long hair) I tried this food and it cleared up the problem. Anyone who has a cat with digestive problems should give this food a try you will agree it is worth the cost."

EXCELLENT QUALITY FOOD,
June 2, 2009
by Missy123

Pros: quality pet food that all my cats can enjoy!!
"I am the person that reads reviews prior to purchasing anything. Of course, I never go back and add my two cents after until today. This food was recommended by a friend and I really hesitated to try it because I have two cats with very different problems.
My one cat has not been able to eat dry food for YEARS!!! As soon as he eats dry food, in less than a minute, he throws up everything that was in his tummy. He is on a special diet and takes Cisapride prior to each meal. Unfortunately, he has lost some weight because he doesn't like to eat wet food every day. Well, I give him his prescription diet and mix in some of this food and he just couldn't be happier or healthier.
My other cat has CONSTANT constipation. The poor thing had to go to the vet for two anemias in the past. He too takes Cisapride prior to each meal and must eat prescription wet food. Unfortunately, he hates wet food and has lost a ton of weight!!! Now, I mix wet food with this dry and I am happy to report that he put on weight, his coat is healthy (shiny) and has been pooping normally again! I cannot believe it! Side Note: I add 100% pumpkin and 1/2 teaspoon of fish oil to the wet & dry food.
Since my boys have been eating the food, there has been no puking in the middle of the night. Ahhh - I forgot what a peaceful night's sleep was like!!
Thank you, Royal Canin!"

Great food for your cat,
August 27, 2008
by oldboykitty

"My cat is a 14 year old male mixed breed/breed unknown. He started becoming sensitive to food a few years back and started to vomit as soon as he ate. I started buying "better brands" of food and it pretty much worked but he still got sick a few times a month.
Recently, even the "better brand" cat food was still making him vomit. I read the reviews on this brand and type and went to PetSmart to buy a bag. It is well worth the extra money!
My cat has not been sick once since I purchased a bag almost a month ago. He loves it and cries for more. He has started to put weight on again (he was getting too skinny from being so sick - my poor kitty) and has more energy.
I know this sounds like a silly commercial - but...Please give this a try if you have a cat that is sensitive to foods - I hope it works for you."

"Finally! A cat food that has all but eliminated vomiting. My little long-haired calico is about 6 years old. Royal Canin Digestive Special 33 is the first and only cat food I have given her that she has not once vomited up. To me, this is a miracle. She likes the taste very much, too."

Highly Satisfied,

"My cat Gizmo who is under 2 years of age began throwing up a bout 3 months ago. I took him to the vet because he couldn't hold down anything and continued to lose weight to the point where he was dying. I was given anti-throw medicine and was told to fed him alittle at a time. Gizmo still continued to throw up and nothing helped. I went onto the Pet Smart website and reviewed the rating for each brand. I was so impressed by the ratings for Canin so I went out and purchased a bag of Special 33. As of today, the vomitting has stopped except for a few hair balls here and there. I can't explain how much my cat loves this food. He seems to have so much more energy even before he got sick, always running and playing more than ever. I even put my kitten on the same food and have had no problems. Recently, I put Gizmo on the hairball food of Canin-again great results. Honestly, this is the best food i've ever given my pets."

This food has answered our prayers,
November 16, 2007
by 3wilsons

"Our Snowshoe kitty had become unable to eat any dry food. It had become hard to feed her canned because we are a multi-cat household. I have tried everything I could find. Even our vet was puzzled at her problem. Multiple medications and prescription diets failed. I stumbled across Royal Canin 33 while shopping and thought I would give it a try. Whoo Hoo!! It works. All of the cats love it and Knock on wood, no one has thrown up."

Solved my cat's throwing up problem,
July 1, 2007
by Lynde
from Spokane, WA
"My domestic, long hair, indoor-only kitten (Zoey) was occasionally throwing up. Over the duration of a few months, she began throwing up almost daily. I was feeding her a good quality food and believed the problem to be hair balls. I tried various hair ball treatments and foods - nothing was working! Poor Zoey...I felt so awful for her! I stumbled onto Royal Canin's Special 33 formula and thought, what the heck, I'll give it a try. I'm soooo glad I did! This was the miracle I was looking for - no more throwing up, absolutely NONE!
I got another kitten (Abby) when Zoey was about 4 years old. My first worry was about the food. I knew trying to feed cats different foods would be difficult and I didn't want to if I could help it. I asked the vet about feeding Abby Special 33 and was thrilled to hear it was just fine for kittens, as well.
So, 2 years later I have two very healthy cats and no throwing up! The price is steep on this food, but so worth it."

Royal Canin Special,
March 7, 2007
by petlover1
from Windsor, CT
"This is the only cat food I could get an elderly infirm cat to eat when I first found it, and this cat food truly saved her life. She was so ill from refusing to eat and resisting force feedings the vets were about to insert a tube into her stomach but once I gave her this she started eating and over a couple months she gained back all the weight she had lost plus an extra pound! It really can save your cats life it is a very healthy and easily digested food. What good is any special food if the pet wont eat it? No worries with royal canin special they eat this with gusto!"

Excellent cat food,
November 15, 2006
by JRCATS9
from West Palm Beach, FL
"I have nine cats and it is very hard to find a cat food that they all agree on that is tasty to them. This is the cat food. This is the best manufacturer that makes tasty and healthy food for cats. Their coats are so silky soft and their waste is not as smelly as with other cat foods. This cat food doesn't have some of the by-products that are used as fillers. They also don't throw-up as much as with other cat foods. It seems to help the kitties with delicate tummies. It is an expensive cat food but worth the cost to have healthy, happy cats."

Best Cat Food I've Found in 40 years!~~~,
November 5, 2006
by Root
from Wilson, NC
"I have two finicky cats...a young Bombay and an elderly Maine Coon...they both love this food!
My Bombay has had surgery for intestinal problems, and is fine now. However, I give him (them) this easily digested (small and crunchy) food to avoid future problems, and because I love them.....
It is a little pricey, but worth it. They would (argue?) over it, but "Spooky", the Bombay, has been Alpha-cat since he was an 8 week old kitten! He eats first, "Merlin" eats second. Everybody's happy! (And healthy!)~~~
