My little princess loves this food. She is a very picky eater. She weighs 3 lbs and is absolutely beautiful. She eats an entire bowl every night......she eats one piece at a time. She is the madam of fine food. She won't eat just anything. She will eat Royal Canin!!! She love it. Her coat is beautiful. Her teeth are clean and she does not have bad breath. This food has been fed to her for 6 years with no problems. I highly recommend this product for fineky Yorkie's. I would prefer if they made it cheaper.....I like inexpensive purchases. :-)
Pros: high quality, digestible, taste

I bought something else for my Yorkies, because my local Petsmart was temporarily out of RC Yorkie and have lived to regret it. My chow hounds ate the substitute, which was grain-free, blah blah blah, but my littlest started itching within a few days. Once I got them back on Royal Canin, no more problems. Live and learn.

Wow! Is all I can say. My 9 year old silky terrier Prince Bailey a.k.a Bay Bay wouldnt eat anything but grilled chicken, steak, baked potatos with cheese, hamburgers on the grill, tuna or other kind of fish.
My wife was telling me about this food and you know how men just half listen, I said go ahead and get it.
Next thing you know I get a text saying how he ate his baked chicken and a bowl of RC Yorkshire 29.
Couldnt believe it until I saw it. The fussiest palate on earth ate dry dog food? My gosh he will eat 3-5 small bowls a day of it.
He is a very lean and muscular 9 year old silky.
Never has he loved a commercial dog food so much.
Moving wifes 6 week old Yorkie pup to RC Yorshire 29 then they both will eat the 28 in 8 months.
This stuff must be pleasing to the palate and olfactory senses because if the Prince ate it...it has to be good.
Trust me...its not an exagerration.
The pup is trying to get to it.
Im so happy about finding this food.
It really is awesome.
BayBay loves it!

I love this brand and I recommend it to anyone with a yorkie. I've to switch my chyna's food 3 times in her 4yrs of living from pro plan to eukanuba yorkshire and finally to royal canine and for the last 2 yrs I've had no problems with her eating. She even goes to the bag and sits at dinner time. My only issue with the brand is that they never have any specials, discounts or coupons. So while my Chyna is fully satisfied, my budget is not. Lol

Cons: price, smell

I was feeding my Yorkie "Thor" the Pro-Plan small breed formula and wanated to give the Royal Canin a try as it says it's formulated for a yorkie's needs. At first I mixed in a small amount as I was worried that changing foods may upset his digestion- but he picked out the R.C. and left the Pro Plan on the side of the bowl. It's been about 2 weeks now and his breath is MUCH better, his coat is softer and really shiny and he seems happy. I really wish it was available in a larger bag for a better price/lb - but Thor has made HIS choice known- so I hope Petsmart keeps it in stock!!

I didn't start with the "Yorkie" Royal Canin, I got the Puppy Food for my female while she was pregnant. (she hates dog food!) But she ABSOLUTELY LOVED Royal Canin Puppy Food for small breeds, so when the pups where ready to wean I bought the weaning formula and puppies, daddy, and momma all loved that!! (Daddy got fat!) LOL With all that success I would be a fool not to have transferred on to the Yorkshire Terrier formula. Funny thing tho, I wasn't aware of the Yorkshire line from RC, my vet was aware that I used RC and told me of the Yorkie line and said it was a good formula specifically designed for Yorkie's needs and tastes. It may be a little tiny bit expensive monthly to some, but. to me, my babies are so worth it!!! :) Thank you so much RC Family, for paying such special attention to the breeds needs and providing a Superior Product!! I am an EXTREMELY PLEASED customer!:):)
Pros: dogs love it!!
Cons: can't think of one!!

I love Yorkshire 28. It was hard to find a food that my finicky Yorkie would eat. Since I found Royal canine, my search for a well tolerated food was over.
Pros: well tolerated nice size specific for yorkies
Cons: pricey buy monthly

My Littlebossy is a very pickey eater I had tried just about everything on the market and then I had gotten a gift card to petsmart and I new my baby doesn't play with doggy toys so I was trying to figure out what to get and I got the Yorkshire 28 and when I bought the bag into the house and set it down Littlebossey just tried his best to get into the bag. As I was getting a little to mix in with his other food he was trying to climb into the bag it was the funniest thing. That was 7 years ago he now has gone to the rainbow Bridge. Now I have another Little Yorkie named Little Rascal and he is living up to his name when I got him he was missing half of his hair and was the ugliest little thing I had ever seen now he has turn into a beautiful swan and it is all because of Royal Canin Yorkshire 28 You can't buy anything better

Love Royal Canine for my Yorkies

May 10, 2007
by Yorkies
fromHighlands Ranch, Colorado
I have a 1 yr. and a 2 yr. old female and male Yorkie. They have been on this food since they were 3 mths. old, and weighing only 2 lbs. They come running as soon as I put Royal Canine into their bowls. I like the idea that it has tartar control, small pieces, and it seems to be excellent for their very small digestive systems.
I was very happy to read on Royal Canine's website that there was NO recall on THEIR food, unlike so many others. I rather pay a little more and know that my Yorkies will be healthy from the food they eat.

I have a Lhasa Apso/Yorkie mix, this is the only food we have found that he will eat. Of course, he prefers to have a little warm water added to it,,,:)

Finally, something good that she likes!

My Yorkie Betty is extremely picky. After trying many other varieties of dry food and wet food, I picked up a bag of Royal Canin 28 for Yorkies without much hope she'd like it. Well, surprise, surprise! She does like it! What a relief that something that is supposed to be good for her is something she actually seems to enjoy eating. Seeing an empty bowl at the end of a meal used to be an unusual site - not any more!
It may cost a little more, but it's worth it. Plus 3 pounds of food lasts a 5 pound dog a very long time. Whatever Royal Canin puts into this food is worth it.

I have studied the ingredients of many dog food available on the market. I have put a lot of time into finding the best food for my Yorkshire Terriers. This brand is the best I have found thus far. I definitely see a difference in my Yorkie's coat after about six weeks of use. Plus, they love the food!
