I mix the oral care dry food with other dry food. My cats like it and no need for teeth cleaning. I have a 14 1/2 and a 10 year old cat. The cats had their teeth cleaned once. Oral care really does work.

We got this for my 4yo male cat because his breath is getting smelly. We tried switching him gradually but he would not touch it at all. The pieces are pretty big not like any other cat food i tried. I seen good reviews so really wanted to try it. May be good for some but not for my picky eater. we returned it and got him iams(his original food)

Several years ago my vet recommended this food for my male cat (almost 15 now) who has had multiple dental issues. I like it because the pieces are so big it makes him have to crunch down and chew which in turn is good for his teeth and his digestion. He really seems to like the taste of it because he never refuses the few pieces I give him with each meal. It's a little more pricey than the other Science Diet dry foods but I feel it's a win-win for both of us!

I have 14 rescue cats, all with different health issues. Science Diet Oral Care is the one food I can feed to all of them. My cats with crystals have not had any issues, my skin health cats have had increased shine and softness to their coats and my fussy cats love the taste. They all have good stools, they all shed less and the vet is impressed with their teeth. I can't keep enough of this food in stock. I am very impressed with Science Diet Oral Care.

I love this Hill's Science Diet dry food. My 3 cats will dig out this particular food from the other Hill's dry food that I mix together to get the best of all worlds. I had someone call it my kitty granola. Hill's makes superior food and where I notice it the most is in the litter box. They don't use a lot of fillers that other brands use and there for my cat's do not have as much waste as they would with other brands. I'm a Hill's customer for life!!!

At my cat's last dental check up the vet told me that he has a lot of plaque, therefore, he suggested dental food. I was a little uncertain about how food could make a difference but boy has it! Plus, he LOVES it! The pieces are big so it forces him to actually chew the food and digest it properly instead of swallowing it whole.

Last year my vet recommended Science Diet for my cat since she had a lot of plaque for a 2 year old. I thought why not, it's easier than getting her to let me brush her teeth. My cat ended up loving the food, and best of all: her plaque has all but disappeared! During this year's checkup, the vet commented on the excellent condition of her teeth before I even reminded him that he had recommended the oral care food. The big advantage is that the kibble pieces are big, forcing the cat the chew more, thus cleaning the teeth. Highly recommended for any cat.

This food is a lifesaver for me and my kitty! My cat is almost twenty pounds, and not just "fat", but extremely large. As a result, he swallows most kibbles whole- he really had a hard time chewing tiny little kibbles you find in most cat foods. Then I would find piles of vomit with undigested, unchewed food in them. Disgusting! I tried several foods (different shapes, textures) and he had the same problem. Finally found SD Oral Care and no more puking! The kibbles are big enough he has to chew them fully, and he actually CAN chew them instead of the tiny little other ones. He has not vomited since and has been eating this for several months now. He is 10 years old and the vet says he's in perfect health!

I had started my cat on the Oral formula as soon as it came out. I didn't have a single problem with her liking it and eating it. Sadie lived to be 19 1/2. She had her teeth cleaned ONCE when she was about 4. When my little sweetheart made her passage to the Rainbow Bridge she did NOT have on cavity, had EVERY tooth and NO gum disease. Her treats were another food brand of oral care. I give every single kudos to Science Diet. Before she passed I got another cat, now 5. He won't eat anything but the SD Oral - he won't even eat canned food and I've tried mixing it. It doesn't bother me since it is such a wonderful product. I'm soon getting a baby and he too will be eating the same food when old enough. I hope SD keeps up the excellent work and standards. Thank you SD!
Pros: everything
Cons: a bit on the expensive side

This food is second to none, in my opinion. I was always told by my vet that oral care food is the best route to go, to ensure that their teeth stay has healthy as (humanly) possible. I was a little worried when I started my first cat on the food, because the kibbles looked HUGE (especially compared to the kitten food that i had him on, also science diet). However, he took to it instantly, and that was the only food he wanted.
Due to the fact that my cat would only eat this food, willingly, my parents cats started stealing it from his dish, and now THEY only want this food. They turn their noses up to the other food my parents use to buy.
Later, when I got my kitten that I have now, the funniest thing happened. He's only 6-months old, so I have him on the kitten food through science diet. When we came to visit my parents, he instantly went to their food bowls and started eating their food! I had to keep putting him back at his dish non-stop to get him to eat his own food, during which time, he would take about 2 bites and bolt over to the other cats dishes. Definitely a food liked by many cats. A worth-While Purchase!
Pros: palatable - cats love it, an excellent healthy choice, mixes well with sd indoor formula, reasonable price, does not diminish quickly

This large-sized kibble is the favorite food of every one of our seven cats. We often mix it with various other brands, and with other Science Diet formulas, and we're amused to watch each and every cat paw through the food and eat only the big, round pieces of Oral Care first. The cats range in age from 1 to 12, and each of them would give this food a five-star rating. We buy it over and over again.

Both of my cats love the Oral Care by Science Diet. I mix it with Science Diets regular dry food and both cats rummage through the bowl to pick it out! I've used it for a couple years now and it appears to actually be cleaning their teeth. Great benefit since neither will let me brush their teeth.

This stuff is the size of dog food. My cat is really picky about food and likes to swallow dry food whole, so I have to choose treats and dry food that is large enough to force her to chew. She's almost 12 years old and her gums were starting to get bad and she started to lose her appetite and consequently lose weight. In addition to water additive, I included this in her diet and now she's picked up weight and her gums look healthy again. My only complaint (and it's probably just my cat) is that she never eats the chewed up parts that fall back into the bowl.

I started mixing this food in with the regular SD cat kibble. At first I was a bit skeptical because of the large size of the food, but I need not have worried. Both of my cats will pick the oral care out of the bowl and eat it first. When there isn't any more they will eat the regular SD kibble. Go figure. They love it.

My cats absolutely love this one! I've purchased different types of dry food in the past, but this one was the best. I bought a large bag and they ate it faster than they've eaten any other brand. I was surprised because they are usually very picky. I will definitely purchase this one again.
