My vet said to put my 5 yr. old cat on weight management food and lower the amount I feed him so he could lose some weight. He is a 16lb. cat and that is too much to weight. He is a rather large cat, but I want to get him in better health.

Jake loves his Iams Weight Control Dry Cat Food. I will be taking him for his yearly checkup and hope he has lose a few lbs.

I was told by our vet that our cat was overweight. Immediately I went out to get him something that would help and followed the directions for the weight he needs to be.. Within a month, he lost 1.5 lbs! Vet was pleased since he needed to lose 2. I've kept him on it ever since!

Excellent for finicky cats

I have 2 cats. The older one is 7 years old and though she loves Friskies, she's plump. I decided to use this dry food and it wouldn't hurt for the 2 year old to eat it as well, even though she is a good weight. When I opened it up, it was in pellets and it looked healthy. I feared that it looked so healthy that they wouldn't eat it. They both went to town like it was their last supper. That is a lot to say since the 7 year old is particular to what cat food she eats. They inhaled the food down in unison. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is I just started using it today and have not seen weight loss. Otherwise it is a great attractor for Cats.

Cat with Thyroid Problem

My senior cat has a thyroid problem and is very UNactive. She constantly gains weight she shouldnt because of both problems. I have found this to be a VERY effective food for my very lazy cat in keeping her under 14 pounds. She is still big, but shes not the 19lbs she was with science diet!
