After trying several other highly recommended brands, finally found product our German Shepperd likes. He almost died from the bad food that went around a couple of years ago & didn't start eating normally until we gave him this product. Now he is healthy and active. My son also gives his Shepperds the same product, different flavor(Salmon).

We have a 7 yr. old Border Collie/Irish Wolfhound mix (yes, he was bred that way on purpose!). Although I'd always fed a high quality and expensive dog food, I was also always hassled with his dense and matted undercoat. Brushing him was an exercise in patience. About a year ago I switched him to Blue Buffalo and I was amazed at how his undercoat started coming out in clumps and his new coat shone and was a wonderful silky texture. No more brushing hassles!! He also has a renewed interest in fetching balls and playing with his "sister". I'm sold on Blue Buffalo.

I have been using the large breed chicken and rice for my two dogs since they are now adults. They ate the blue buffalo puppy formula til they were one. They like it except that they always spit out the lifesource bits for some reason. I have a blackmouth Cur and a Puggle. They are very healthy otherwise and I am happy with it. Can anyone explain why they both do not like the bits though?

My German Shepard is now 5yrs old and in awesome shape thanks to Blue Buffalo. Our Vet is pleased that during his last 3 yearly check ups his weight has stayed the same (to the ounce). He does get plenty of exercise, but without Blue Buffalo I don't think we could make this statement. Such high quality ingredients that nourish the body, skin & hair. His coat is beautiful and bones strong. I wish we would have known about Blue in the beginning because as a pup we tried several brands, many he didn't like & many caused allergic reactions. Since Blue we are in the clear! THANK YOU!!!!!

I recently adopted a 5 year old Saint Bernard that was extremely malnourished and infected with several types of parasites. After only 6 weeks of eating this food, my dog has bounced back TREMENDOUSLY! Her fur has come in thick and soft (where it was once very thin and coarse), she has put on healthy noticeable weight and has much more energy. She loves the taste and gets very excited at each meal time! My Golden Retriever is also crazy for it and has attained a beautiful coat, even when I thought it was perfect before. I HIGHLY recommend Blue for any pet owner. However, make sure that you transition from a different brand over 10-14 days, or else you can mistake soft bowel movements as a problem with this food.

Blue Buffalo Life Protection Dog Food - Chicken & Brown Rice - Adult Dog is amazing. We have a mixed bread dog, Lab & German Shepherd, that had a very sensitive stomach and an allergy that caused her serious iching...plus she was always hungrey. After using this awesome Dog Food, our dog's allergy and stomach problems stopped. Her coat is shiny and looks & feels great. She eats and is satisfied plus we don't need to buy as much food as before. We are always telling everyone about this product and how it changed our dog! The cost is a little more than what we were paying before, but we don't buy as often, so it averages out better. We were amazed at that too! Their precised blend of antioxidants. vitamins & mineras, plus meat, grains, & veggies has given us a happy dog. We highly recommend this dog food to everyone.

We fed our Great Dane, Captain, this food and he loves it. He is healthy, his coat is soft and shiny, he is always excited to eat. I just wish it didn't cost as much but all food of this quality do so I can't complain to much.

This food is overall very good and high quality. My Rottweiler is doing great. She has a healthy appetite and a very shiny coat. She is now seven months and she has been on this food for five months now. Her weigh is normal, not heavy or skinny. She loves the taste and I love the ingredients. I also have a Maltese who eats blue buffalo small breed dry food. I know people complain about the cost of this product but you get what you pay for. I love my girls and they are every bit worth me paying the cost of their food.

I was recently comparing all different kinds of Dog foods and decided to switch my dog from Eukanuba to Blue. Chocolate Lab is not a picky eater but I can see a very big difference in how excited he gets when he is about to be fed. His coat and skin has improved and he is not going to the bathroom every 3 hours.
Note: As a test I put a bowl full of Eukanuba beside the Blue and Hands down he went for the Blue everytime!

My Great Dane loves this food, it took me a little while to find the perfect food for her, and this is it! Shes on track with her weight and how fast shes growing. i recommend this for large breed dog owners

I have spend hundreds dollars on my pit/lab mix due to skin allergies. After one month on BB's large breed chicken and brown rice, my four year old has a healthy coat and furry face. It has worked wonders.

I have been using this dog food for over 2 years. It is not a bad choice of food. I did switch to wellness after reading the ingredients. Blue just does not match up. Well ness cost a bit more but, it is well worth the price , that is if care anything about your pet or pets. Blue does not make there pieces large enough for large breed dogs. Sorry Blue but, you meet your match with wellness and lost hands down.

The first food I started my lab on was Beneful for puppies. Once she had gotten too old for it I went to the regular beneful. I was lucky if she would eat every other day so I switched her to Iams....same thing. So after some research I tried her on Blue Buffalo. Now, I'm happy to say she eats twice a day. The only issues I have is that she has bad gas. Also I was hoping for it to help with her itchy skin. I'm going to get the fish and oatmeal formula today and see if that helps. I'm very grateful for Blue and would highly recommend it.

After trying so many different dog foods for our German Shorthaired Pointer, we've finally found a dog food that he LOVES! He had such a sensitive stomach and was constantly having loose stools. We've tried just about everything out there -- including the limited ingredient diets, but didn't have much luck on them long term.
We switched him to Blue Buffalo large breed and he absolutely loves it. He'll eat it straight out of the bag, with no wet food mixed in. All of his stomach upsets have gone away and we are left with nice compact stools to pick up. Thank you Blue!!!

When we first tried this food, my golden seemed to do well and look forward to eating. He has been on it for several months now and lately he doesn't rush to eat. He will eventually get around to eating, but not excited about this food anymore.
I just switched him to Blue's longevity and he seems to like the taste so far... we'll see if this one works out. Maybe he's just picky!
