"i recently switched over to blue buffalo cat food after i have been feeding my 5 cats what i thought was the best for them. after switching to and feeding them blue buffalo indoor formula for 1 month, their coats are the shiniest i have ever seen and they also don't shed half as much as they used to. my cat who has allergies from food(causing skin rash and irritation) has gone away. i would recommend this product to anyone, i am 100% satisfied plus some."

"I can definately tell a difference in our cats since starting them on Blue, especially our cat KK. Her coat just looks amazing! They started shedding a little more at first but now shed much less than they did before. The food seems to be more filling, as they eat less of it, and I can tell a difference in the litter box too. They love the taste! They tried tearing into the bag!! The ingredients really say it all - its' real food!"

"I have three indoor only cats ages 1.8 years (Molly), 1.2 years (Bella), and 7 months (Elly). They are very picky eaters. I originally fed them Purina Pro Plan and they all liked it, but Molly, started having severe allergies which caused chunks of hair to fall out and her ears and body to be covered in scabs.
I was very worried and started researching different foods. I stumbled upon Blue Buffalo and read how natural it was and decided to try it.
#1- They loved the flavor and devour the food.
#2- Molly's hair grew back and the other cats have shinier and softer fur than ever before.
#3- Less stinky waste.
I would recommend this food to everyone. It can be expensive, but I just try to buy it when it is on sale."

"I have 4 cats. It's very hard to find a food in a mutiple cat household that satisfies everyone. 3 of my cats are actually seniors and I have a 4 year old adult cat. The 4 year old is extremely overweight. One of my senior cats have had repeated trips to the vet for skin allergies. After switching from MaxCat, Nutro, Iams etc we ended up with this indoor formula. Her fur seems to be growing back nicely and she was almost bald is some spots.
I can say that their skin is shinier, no more puking the food back up, and I have not seen not ONE hairball since switching! All of my cats have medium length fur so that's pretty impressive.
They eat this food very slowly, almost to savor the taste and they really don't "graze" over their bowl once they are done. They seem full and satisfied. I am still on the same 7 lb bag that I bought as a trial and it's been almost 2 weeks.
We are used to going through a LOT of food but if their eating habits continue like this we will be buying less! I even catch my dog trying to steal their food! Maybe it's time to switch his food over, too!"

"Cats love it and litter box is much less funky (stays odor free with minimal maintenance and less solid waste all around). Since we switched to this food, we are feeding less, they have less waste and they are absolutely crazy for the taste. They will actually take the food over their treats, when given the choice. They are healthy, muscular, athletic and playful. No more hairballs has also been a bonus. :)"

"During a visit to the store, a sales rep for Blue Buffalo approached me and told me how wonderful their product is. She made it sound so great, and after comparing the ingredients, I made the switch. Who doesn't want their pet getting the best ingredients? The price is pretty comparable to other premium foods...
I wouldn't describe my cat as a finicky eater, and she wanted nothing to do with this food. I mixed it with her old food, and she would pick out the old brand and leave the Blue Buffalo in the bowl. If left with only this to eat, she would avoid the special "Lifesource bits." I bought another flavor, but the results were the same.
I was a little shocked not to see more negative reviews on here, because when I commented about it at my local store, they said a lot of people had said the same thing about the Blue Buffalo cat food line.
If you still want to try the food, I would get a free sample from the company and see if your cat will eat it before you waste your money."

"I love this food !! It has made a world of difference in my cat . He is 9 years old and has started acting like a kitten again. "I used to get my cats a great cat food I loved but I had to hike it to a specialty pet food store. It was time consuming and expensive. I wanted to find a food that was similar but easier to get at my local PetSmart and that is when I found this product. The ingredients are comparable to those in the food I used to get, and my three girls love it. For anyone who experiences problems with their cat taking to it I would suggest persistence. Mix it with some of their old food first and gradually put less of the old stuff in. In no time they will be used to it. Besides, if they are hungry they will eat just about anything! Better to eat this food which is actually good for them.
My cats shed less, have super shiny and soft fur, are healthy, happy, and active. Even my friends who have cats always ask what I feed them because my babies are so shiny it's remarkable."

"I was always the pet owner who bought the cheapest cat food I could find in the supermarket, but now that has changed.
Late last year I was working overseas for 3 months and had friends look after our adult cat. When I returned, I noticed the following - Her coat was really shiny, the colour had evened out, it was softer (she was soft before, but now even more so) and her weight was perfect. Also, as an indoor cat, she shed considerably less. Like the other reviewers, my cat eats less than before, and isnt as thirsty. My friends told me they changed her diet to blue spa select as they too had great experience with it.
I loved the improvements I saw in our cat, however I was a little concerned about keeping up this GOURMET food choice as I thought it would cost me double. I decided to give it a month and see how it went. I didnt like changing her food often.
At the end of the trial month, I noticed that because she didnt eat as much, the food was lasting longer than the cheap supermarket brand, therefore costing me about the same per month. Now I have come to the conclusion that its worth spending extra money on cat food, as the results are just superb. I was really happy to find out that Petsmart carried this product line and will definately be sticking with it from now on.
Im a converted bugdet conscious cat food shopper now. Thanks Blue Spa select indoor.

"We have six indoor pets (three dogs and three cats - outdoors is another matter since our property is a NWF-certified wildlife habitat) and we feed Blue Buffalo to four of them. I've found that feeding pets is not unlike feeding kids - there's what's good for them and what they'll eat. I consider four things when selecting pet food:
Nutrition: AAFCO standards pretty much assure nutrition, so that's an easy one. Of course, AAFCO compliance doesn't tell the whole picture, but it does assure that the essentials are there in the correct proportions.
Ingredients: High-quality digestible protein is most important, although I'm not a snob with a knee-jerk reaction to certain ingredients (e.g. by-products and glutens). I know that I certainly wouldn't consider eating a wild carnivore's natural diet, so what's palatable to me isn't an issue. When I buy a pet food, I like to see evidence of my money being spent on the ingredients rather than marketing.
Palatability: This is a big one! The best food is no good if your pets won't eat it. Our vet, like many others, pushes Hill's but none of our animals will touch the stuff. The only high-quality foods that they actually like are Blue and Royal Canin, which leads us to...
Price: Although Blue is a premium food, it costs a little less than Royal Canin, so that's what I buy.
Anecdotally, all of our indoor cats love Blue and seem to be doing quite well with it. The outdoor cats get Meow Mix because they're mostly transients and whatever I feed them gets shared with the birds, squirrels, possums, and raccoons. The outside critters go through a 20lb. bag each week, so I can't afford to feed them the good stuff, bwsides which they seem to be doing well enough with it."

"After the recent recall, we switched brands to the Blue Spa Select Indoor dry cat food. Our 6-year-old Tabby LOVES this stuff. She paws at the bag for more! She didn't fuss at all about the change and she is healthier than ever with a beautiful coat. At first glance, it seemed a bit pricy, but our piece of mind (organic-no junk fillers-more fully absorbed by the body-LESS stool in the litter box!) and her happiness and overall health make it worth it."

"When I adopted my cat Cosmo, I was told he was a finicky eater. I decided to buy him premium cat food that was all natural with little or no preservatives or fillers, and I discovered this brand at Petsmart. I’m so glad I did. It’s the best! He absolutely loves it and has had no problems with it at all. He is a long hair who grooms himself regularly, and the hairball formula in this product is amazing! "I found out about this product from my spouse running across it on the internet. We got a free sample for our cats and dog. The cats have been on it for a few weeks, and I'm already seeing a huge change. My older cat (10 years) usually overeats and has had a sensitive stomach all his life, and has had no vomiting issues that he usually does almost daily. Absolutely no hairballs. And they eat less. I'm thrilled that I've finally found a product that all of my animals enjoys and is healthy for them, too!"

"I believe that this cat food is the best. Our three cats have had recurring loose stools, and it is completely gone after switching food. They love this stuff. I used to have to clean the litter pan 5 times a day, and still was gagging everytime i cleaned it, but now its down to once a day, and I have no trouble at all with it. They are happy and much healthier since the change. The price is a little high, but we were going through one large bag of meow mix every week and now we are going through the 7 pound back of blue spa and we are only halfway through it after two weeks...with 3 cats...this is so much more filling for them. We love it."

"I absolutely love blue spa select cat food. I have two cats, who are very different and each have unique nutritional needs, but who have always shared their food. It was so difficult to find a food that would keep both of them happy and healthy, until I discovered Blue (which I also feed to my dog!) Indoor Formula. They love it, and all of their digestive and skin/fur problems cleared up quickly and have not returned in over a year. I highly recommend Blue to everyone with pets, it is more than worth the cost and pays for itself in savings on vet bills."
