My canine companion is an XS toy breed and he is unable to rotate this toy to "forage". He is also unable to lift the compartment covers with his paws so he has to use his snout where he risks taking his eye out because the covers are pointed at the corners.
We have had to modify playing with this toy by him just indicating with his nose which compartment the treat is in, and me opening the cover up for him to take the treat.
So very restricted usefulness in terms of occupying and replicating "foraging" behaviour for smaller breeds of dog. Also, some design changes are warranted - there is no need for sharp corners on the compartment covers.

I have a very energetic 6 month old puppy. As another review stated, she had this figured out within a couple of minutes. When I first gave it to her, I put sausage style treats in it. Since she quickly went thru it, I put some of her puppy chow in it. Now, I fill it up with her food, and even with her bowl sitting a few feet away with food in it, she would rather eat it out of this toy. It is great for occupying her time and keeps her interest.
I would definitely recommend this product!

This toy works great and met all of my expectations. Both of our larger dogs love this toy and it has stood up to their pawing and biting so far. It isn't a toy I would leave alone with them but under supervision it really makes them think and work for their treats. The foot pads don't stick well, but we are planning on adding some suction cups to the bottom to fix that.

At first it was ok, but in less than 30 minutes it stopped working! I tried to fix it but the top cracked off the bottom when I was making it a harder level (Level 2).
Bottom line: I would not buy this product again...but it's a great idea!

We bought this for our lab over the weekend and its great way to engange her and make her forage for her treats. She's really goes at it and it took her all of less than 3mins to figure out how it worked!
The nonstick feet aren't really working well, but that's ok as the treats are gone before it gets moved too much anyway.
