Although this is a relatively expensive heater, it works well and lasts a long time. I've had mine for 8 years and it keeps my tank at a stable temperature unlike several other heaters I have attempted to used for other tanks over the years.
Although it's expensive, spend the money to get good quality.

You get what you pay for in the Aquarium hobby. So don't skimp on your heater.

The Aqueon heaters are solid, look good, work perfect, and the cost is still reasonable.

I have a 50watt in my Evolve 4 and a 100watt in my 30gal. Both maintain STEADY, CONSISTENT temps. My only complaint is that usually i have to set the dial a good amount below my target temp, especially on my Evolve 4. I maintain a temp between 79 and 80 on it, and the heater is set for 75.

Always remember to have a good thermometer and put it on the opposite side of your heater.

I'm very happy with this heater so far. I have a 3 gallon kritter keeper, soon to be upgraded to a 10 gallon tank. I have the heater in the 3 gallon temporarily, until I get my 10 gallon. So far it works like a charm and heated the tank to the desired temperature no problem. It looks nice, it's small, and it's a good price. The knob is really easy to turn to adjust it, which is a huge plus. The last heater I had needed to be taken out to turn because it was so hard to turn with just one hand! The only thing I DON'T like about this heater is that it clicks sometimes. It isn't too loud, but it can get a little annoying. It only clicks when it is heating though. I guess it's a nice way to know that it's on! I would definitely recommend this heater to fellow fish keepers, and I plan to buy more in the future. It has a life time warranty too, and you just can't beat that!

I bought a 200 watt heater last week and it keeps clicking loud enough to disturb the otherwise peace. I thought maybe it was the suction cups inside pulling off but web research shows some heaters click. It's not helpful in my work environment and I'm thinking about returning it. Maybe it's just a defective one but others getting clicking too so probably not.

It was a great heater, the adjust knob is so smooth that it can be switch easily, but it sounds cheap when it moves, like metal clingy but still recommend it

I bought this Aqueon 100w Heater for my 20 gallon long because my Tetra 100w Heater broke. The Tetra was preset to 78 degrees and it was not changeable. You can set this heater from 68 degrees to 88 degrees, a very wide spectrum. Make sure after you have it installed in the tank, you let it sit for 15 mins to acclimate itself before you plug it in. My tank was about 74 degrees when I plugged it in and within an hour was up to 80, what I preset it to. Very impressive. Awesome heater, and got it on sale for $29.74 with my Pet Perks Card. Great product! Aqueon has always impressed me.

I have this heater in my 20g tropical tank. It keeps the water at the correct temperature consistently, lights up to indicate when it's heating the water, and has a lifetime warranty. You just can't beat that.

Hi.
I am writing this review to let everyone know that this is an outstanding product. I previously had a heater for less than 2 months before it started having problems. It would not turn off. I then bought this product for my 20 g long tank. The temp it easy to adjust and is extremely accurate. I would recommend this to anyone from beginners to experienced fish keepers. This is one of the greatest heaters ever made in my opinion. I swear by this product.
