i bought this heater on sale for $16CDN, i was so impress with this heater, it does the job right. i would recommend to put the heater (any other heater, not just this one) beside a filter or any other media where the water is circulating and distribute the heat evenly in the tank. overall, i would recommend this filter to anyone :). good luck on fish keeping.
Pros: works great, easy to install, price

I probably have more of these in my tanks than any other brand, simply because they are a decent price for a reliable heater.

I am not impressed with this product. I bought one for my 30 gal. tank and it wasn't able to do the job. To top it all off,(I unplug all my aquarium instruments when I do a water change; filter, heater ect) I smelled something burning and the bottom plastic part of the heater had melted! Thank goodness it was above my water line at that point or who knows what it would have put in my water! I've only had it for a week and I am going to get a refund!
