Poorly designed

It doesn't fit properly and doesn't stay in place. The portion that is supposed to stick to the diaper to keep it together is weak. I had to use packing tape to try to get it to stay together and keep it in the right place. Even if it's on clearance, don't waste time or money on it; just buy children's diapers and cut a hole for the tail.

Leaks due to design flaw

March 28, 2013

I tried this product for an elderly, incontinent, female. The diaper seemed to fit just fine, but leaked whenever she urinated. Compared to another diaper brand that does not leak, the problem seems to be the design of the absorbant pad. A thin layer of it goes up and around the hole for the dog's tail. The urine seems to wick up to the tail hole and leak out at that point. These diapers may work for a female in heat or a dog who only drips a bit of urine; they are not for a dog who is incontinent.

Our dog is a 16 year old with potty issues so we have to keep him in these doggy diapers, we have tried other brands, and then tried this one..... don't bother. Its cheaply made and keeps falling off. The tail hole is worthless and will slide down, and he even pooped out of it. Not happy.

We used another popular pet store brand diapers the first week our Akita was "in heat" (for lack of better explanation), and they worked great. When I switched to this brand (they were a little cheaper, which seemed like a good reason), I was really disappointed. Our Akita was adopted from an animal shelter and she's still pretty thin for her breed, but these XL diapers still don't fit. Sometimes I can get them to stretch just enough around her waist, other times the tabs break off. And when they do fit, it's a very temporary fit. The tail hole stretches way too easily and because of the poor fit, rides down below her tail to expose the area that's bleeding! Hmm, doesn't really help keep my carpet clean. After waking up to my dog trying to clean areas she'd stained with blood 2 times last night, I got up this morning and trashed the rest of the pack. Went to the other pet store and spend the extra $ for diapers that I know will work. Don't buy these diapers. Total waste of money and now my brand new carpet is stained with blood.

These diapers do not fit my Shih Tzu very well the small is too tight around her waist and fills up very quickly. The medium size diapers fit is too big. It is more of a large than a medium so it constantly is drooping and falling off my dog.

If your dog doesn't have a tail...

The diapers didn't work at first. Our dog has no tail to hold the diaper up. We went to an electronics store and bought some gator clips and used a piece of weed eater line. We used it to attach the diaper to her collar and after that the diapers stay on.

Don't buy these! They are nothing more than disposable diapers with a hole cut for the tail. We have a 75 lb Rottweiler and bought the diapers for 55-90 lb dogs. You can barely get the ends connected and then they only stay on for a few minutes. I would try pull-ups before anything else. These were a complete waste of money.

I am desperate for a diaper that works on my elderly 60 lb dog. She dribbles all over the place. I have to gate her in the laundry room, she's miserable, wants to be with the family. I had high hopes for these, but they don't stay on. I have the XL. They slip right off after she walks around a little bit. If she stays lying down they're good, but the minute she gets up and starts walking they come off. They're better than nothing but only just.

My dog developed some incontinence due to some of her meds. She measured 31 inches at the waist so I bought the XL which is supposed to fit 25" to 35". No way. Stretched to the max, they measured 30". I tried to put one on my dog and it wouldn't go completely around her waist in a comfortable fashion. I could barely get the tabs to reach if I was like chocking her. I hope to return them for a refund.

Not made for a boxer body. Went through a package of Simple Solutions Brand size Large, worked out very well. Top Paw was the only brand available at PetSmart when I needed more, bought the size that SHOULD have worked for my dog, they literally fell off, which is really bad if your dog is in a diaper to begin with. The tail hole is way too far down the diaper, which makes them not line up or close correctly. A complete waste of money, I can't return an opened package. Buy any other brand.
