Initially I used another topical for my Puggles, but then my Vet switched to Parastar Plus and I was hesitant, but no more! I have found Parastar Plus to provide truly excellent comprehensive and consistent control of topical parasites in a fast acting method, which also provides saturation of the hair shaft so once parasites jump to the dog they are killed swiftly prior to attaching or feeding therefore preventing disease! It is easy to apply and has zero side effects unlike other topical's I have used for my dogs, which caused itching, hair loss and red inflamed skin at the application site. I'm not certain where it states this is a "Natural" product, not even certain what that means, but it is the same ingredient you will find in Frontline Plus and others with a slight variation and I think it is far more effective.

We live in a heavily wooded lake community full of wildlife including deer, raccoons, fox, squirrels, chipmunks and bear all of which roam through our property on a daily basis. The deer are so domestic they have no problem walking right up to humans and/or pets so I was especially concerned about deer ticks and lyme, but Parastar Plus has proven to kill such before they can ever attach and feed! Since switching to Parastar Plus my dogs have had two ticks and both were killed and dried on the end of the hair shaft when we found them, they did not even make their way to the skin to attach and my dogs have very, very short hair so the trip for the tick would not have been long, yet still it didn't make it. We tick comb the dogs after every walk in the summer months so the ticks we found, which were dead on the end of the hair shaft met their demise approximately an hour after jumping on, which is what Parastar Plus claims it will do, it did and this is just what I want because if they cannot attach and feed they cannot transmit disease! Since then we have had ZERO ticks, ZERO everything so the Parastar Plus is absolutely doing a great job, just as described and I highly recommend it because if it works on my dogs in a heavily wooded lake environment teaming with deer and wildlife it will work anywhere.

As far as fleas, these have never been an issue for us although I would imagine if your dog is flea infested you must first break the cycle of infestation to allow the Parastar or any topical to work efficiently. A flea infested pet needs to be seen by a Vet, prescribed a medicated flea bath and possibly given oral meds to stop the fleas from reproducing, thus break the flea lifecycle then a preventative topical is used to keep the fleas from coming back. This and all topical meds of this sort are preventative not magic therefore they cannot be expected to perform a miracle on a badly infested animal without the use of other modalities of treatment. You must interrupt the lifecycle of the flea and cannot expect one vial of topical to eradicate an infestation, as this would be like expecting to eradicate a flea infested home with only one bug bomb, doesn't work.

still covered in fleas

i also got this product from the vet. my dogs started having a bad flea problem after we moved so i purchased this from my vet and it nvr made any difference on either dog. both are still covered in fleas and am now having to spend more money to get rid of fleas

this does not work, i got mine form the vet and it was a wast of money, it seem like anything that says that its natural dont work. pill form is the best way to go. i applied this stuff on my dog 3 days ago after giving her a flea bath and i still say fleas on her tail.she was kept on the porch during that time so i could work on getting the fleas out the house.

**** DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU NEED TO GET RID OF FLEAS****
