GOOD CONCEPT...HORRIBLE DESIGN!

Litter clumps and sticks in the filter. Urine seeps down the sides and under the basket, causing urine to leak out and onto the floor/carpet when you pull the basket out. I would not recommend this product at all...I ended up purchasing a different box that I love for less than half the price!

Terrible box

At first I loved the concept of this box. However it is very bulky and hard to clean when you have to change the liners out. The sifter also doesn't work very well, it lets out clean litter into the waste bin. Wasting most of the cat litter in the process. The litter bin also doesn't hold very much litter, so the cat scratches holes into the liner and makes a huge mess! This box is not worth the money. I spent less then half on a new box that I love!

If your cats are diggers this product isn't for you - i love the concept as i was looking for a non-electric easy to use litter box but these just don't cut it (and i bought two of them) - the bags for the lower bin work great - the bags (liners) for the upper bin need improvement - the folds cause litter to get caught

I was hesitant to get this due to the price. I have used an Omega Paw with great success, but I had a car accident and have permanent neck and back injuries and need to do as much to minimize bend and lifting as possible.
This is like an Omega Paw you don't have to roll. It fits into the closet we have the litter box in more easily. It uses very little litter. You must pull the handle slow and easy to allow all the litter to go into the grate, then dump the clumps. You must use a quality litter that clumps well.
My 12 and 17 year old cats took right to it. I did put a step stool in front of and have left the door up to help them, but since the litter is always clean, the door becomes unnecessary because there is no odor.
Overall, I love it. The liner for the litter box part is a stupid design as it has folds in it that trap litter, but I just bought some standard litter pan liners and they fit nicely.

Great in so many ways and Bad in so many ways

Great
-It's big so my cat has room to do his "stuff"
-Easy to empty
-The catch pan hold a ton
-No batteries
-No loud noises to scare cat
-Easy to put together
-So Easy my 5 year old can dump it
Bad
-It is huge and takes up a lot of room
-The locks on the side come loose & dumps my cat totally freaking him out.
-The handle doesn't lock well and if he goes towards the back it dumps my cat, again freaking him.
-#1 sticks to bottom, no matter what litter you use (I have tried almost all) tidy Cat instant clump is the best for this litter box.
-Taking it apart to clean is pain. Lots of pieces.
-The sift part collects chunks of #1 and doesn't let it back out. So there is icky litter behind smelling up things until you fully take it apart and clean it out.
Even with all the bad it is the best one I have tried. I have tried ALL the auto ones and the litter spinner. Way worse than this one. I think I am just going to have to find something to fix the problems (extent lock for the handle and put nails in the plastic to keep the side slider locks from sliding every time my cat moves) . I wanted to contact the maker directly for suggestions on the fixes but they are not listed anywhere on the internet.
Side note... I am writing a review about a litter box but it won't let me say the word for #1:)

Worst investment ever AND a torture to your cat!

At first our kitten used this box perfectly. We quickly noticed the same issues as the other unhappy reviewer has noted. Also, the lower drawer is so much smaller it fills up quickly not only because of its size but also because this contraption uses a LOT more litter than standard sifting - A LOT.
The WORST part is the lever used to dump the primary drawer quickly wore out *just enough* that it would latch correctly in the moment but - what we didn't realize - is how it would release at some point later and when that happens the primary drawer tips up PREVENTING access to the box if the door is in use, which of course it always is except when cleaning it. Our 9 month old kitten (never an issue using this or any box appropriately) was suddenly howling and afraid of going into the box but clearly in need to do so. That's when we discovered the problem. We fixed it and kept the door wide open after that but he was too traumatized and I had to put him in it once when it was obvious he'd picked a spot on the floor nearby and he didn't try again after leaping out of it as soon as he was finished. We've since replaced this expensive piece of junk with a good old-fashioned litter pan and the kitten is fine again, thankfully.
I wish I could get my money back.

Design Issues

The design for this litter box has the worst design ever! When you go to dump the wet litter it sticks to the bottom of the box and crate and creates a mess! When you change out the box there is residual cat urine remaining the leaks under the box and drips under the pan all into the box and underneath. The litter does not sift well through the crate design leaving you "clean" litter either into the box either you still have to scrape the bottom of the box and it is horribly messy. When you go to change the box to clean it you have to take the entire box literally apart to clean the crate apart, and the litter sticks to it like glue! This is the WORST cat box I have ever owned and I would never suggest anyone buy this box ever!!!

Easy & I haven't touched litter since we bought it

I bought the box a week ago and are quite pleased thus far. We have 4 indoor cats, and have tried multiple box designs. Even with liners, we have litter on the floor, dust everywhere and LOTS of scooping. I was skeptical, but say no more to any of that!
The box was a little difficult to assemble because there are only pictures (no written instructions). However, it's not rocket science and I got it in about 15 minutes.
You don't want to put too much litter in as it will overflow into the bottom waste bin.
Sometimes urine clumps do stick to the top bin when we try to dump using the handle. I've found just a little faster rocking of the handle jars them loose most of the time. If not, you can easily bump it with a scooper and it falls to the bottom. I've only had to do that once in a week though.
The bottom waste bin is closed and seems to contain odors and is easy to dump into a trash bag or remove the liner.
Litter on the floor is definitely reduced. However, I don't know if it's the design or the scratcher/ramp we put in front of the box. It does sit a bit high off the ground and one of our kitties is 13 and arthritic. She uses the box with no problem now that we put a little ramp in front of it for her. I'm sure the younger cats could use just fine without the ramp. Either way, barely any litter on the floor or the ramp.
The box is taller than most, and a little larger in diameter; especially with the 18" ramp we made. However, the box needs to be that big to have the seperate waste bin, and be large enough for our 18lb cat.
Of course nothing is perfect, but this is working out surprisingly well and I'd definitely recommend the box. Heck, I'd like to replace our other 3 boxes with this model too.

My cat was having a problem with sharing the litter box so I picked this up in an attempt to prevent cleaning random messes. She took to it immediately and even got used to the swinging door design real quick.
PROs: Super easy to clean. Enclosed box with door keeps smell contained. Super efficient use of litter.
CONs: Sometimes litter gets stuck to bottom, but the door design makes it easy to scrape. The handle seems a bit flimsy, not sure how it will hold up to long term wear.
Overall, really happy with this purchase and so is the cat. I clean the box several times a day now and every week or two clean out the bin.

I bought this and set it up. The set up is kind of confusing for it is only pictures. I got it together and so far it is working fine. I sift it twice a day for I have three cats using it. I find that the bag that is in the area of the litter when you sift the bag/liner falls forward and when you upright it it doesn't go back down flat. I may try it without the liner and just clean it out when I change the litter. Overall I am happy with the results so far. I find that litter is not being tracked everywhere around the pan as the old ones did. That is a plus in my book.
