If you are interested in this box to help with the litter mess our furry felines leave behind, you might be dissatisfied. My eight month old kitten is a good girl about burying her mess, and the litter box rims do not help contain the litter that she sends flying around. The box is also smaller than I was expecting. I will eventually replace this box with another one that will hopefully do the job better.

I'm glad I bought it, since I switched to this pan there is no more litter spread all around the bathroom. It's not huge, but sufficiently big for my cat to get in and turn. Thanks to the intelligent design it will prevent all the rummaging from outside that my cat was so fond of.
Furthermore, unlike other one-piece litters with rim, because of the 2-component design, you can still use a liner on the bottom part and then apply the rim.
Recommended if you are searching for a pan with rim.
