This is a pretty good product and pretty reasonably priced. I just have a few suggestions. Authority should offer their grain free foods in larger bag sizes. I have two larger dogs so I go through a 15 lbs bag in about 7 to 8 days. Also I would recommend offering more protein sources such as salmon perhaps. There are dogs who have allergies to chicken. Lastly, if an alternative could be found for the potato as well that would be great as many dogs are also allergic to potato. Overall, this is a good product that works pretty well for my dogs and that I would recommend.

great grain free alternative

My dog has been on a grain free diet for 5 years due to allergies. We had him on a much higher priced national brand but he didn't care for the flavor and it was a struggle to get him to eat. He loves the flavor of the Authority Chicken and Potato and I love the price.

I have used Authority cat and dog food for around 8 years now. I just recently switched my dogs to the grain free Authority food. They really like it and haven't had any issues with it. My only wish was that PetsMart carried it in a larger size bag. I have 3 dogs and the 15lbs bag doesn't last very long. Please consider selling it in a 30lbs bag soon.

My dogs have always been fed the really plushy, expensive foods. When my financial situation changed, I was forced to look at lower-priced products, and was cringing at the thought of what I was going to have to start feeding them. When Authority came out with the grain-free, I was curious but skeptical. Decided to suspend judgment and just give it a try because the price was right, the nutritional content looked acceptable, and there was no food coloring or cute shapes.

All I can say is that the results have really exceeded my expectations. We had a problem-free transition, normal stools, and my dogs are as shiny and healthy as ever. The results have been the same for both my senior couch potato and my high-energy working dog. If Authority can impress this old dog food snob, it is worth a try for anyone feeding similar products. Now I'm just waiting for them to release a bigger size bag. (We go through the 15# one in 2 weeks.)

My rescue mutt was eating whatever we could buy, at the cheapest price. But after doing some research, we decided to go grain free. We liked the price of Authority, compared to other brands. And we have definitely seen a change in her skin, coat, and behavior. Very satisfied.

I have three dogs, and this is a good, grain-free, budget-friendly alternative to the more expensive, name brand kibbles! I wish it also came in a salmon variety for allergy prone dogs (one of mine can't eat chicken-based kibbles). I also wish it came in 30 pound bags. Maybe in the future?

In my search to find my senior dog grain free food, it has been difficult to find senior dog grain free, but this food is one of the least expensive and it is grain free. Her coat is shiny and there isn't any allergic reaction to it!
