I purchased an 8-9" antler yesterday for my puppy who is a compulsive chewer. She has destroyed 3 KONG products, each in a matter of 15 minutes. I gave the antler to her at 5 PM. By 10 PM, it was less than 1/3 orginal size. She got it at 6:30 AM this morning and it was the size of a toothpick by 8:15 AM. I was really hoping this would keep her busy for at least a few days. I'll try the larger one next time.

Wonderful for my Akita!

My Akita mix goes through bones incredibly quickly. He can eat an enire foot long rawhide bone in about 10 minutes, sometimes less. This is the first treat that I have found that he will actively chew on for hours, and it is really great because he barely does any damage to the antler. It has already lasted much longer than any other bone that I have found. I have had this antler for a few days now, and have had to take it away from him before bed every night. Worth every penny.

I was skeptical about buying an antler because $20 sounded like a lot for this product, but buying $10 rawhide bones every week was costly too. So I bought one and gave it to my husky on Christmas. She likes to chew a lot, even on carpets and raw hides were not cutting that behavior. It's almost half way through march, and that antler is still around. She's probably only taken 1/2 an inch off that thing, so it's got a long way to go and she doesn't chew on anything else. The price is really more than reasonable once you see how long it lasts.
Pros: dog loves it, taste, high quality ingredients, price

My dogs love these and they don't splinter. They also do not get soggy like raw hides. Lasts longer than pig ears too.

i recently bought two antlers for both of my dogs(one 20 pounds and other 80 pounds) and they love them! they keep them busy for hours and i dont have to worry about a mess or any kind of choking hazard. The antlers do not splinter or chip so i dont have to supervise my dogs while they're chewing on it. They're also excellent for puppies. The puppy can chew on that instead of your couch or a shoe. Another great quality to them is they last for 3-5 months!

I was taking the basic training class with my past instructor Manny who recommended the antler! It is safe, it takes them longer to go through one antler than five - ten rawhide bones. Rawhide was revealed to me from a book that my mother bought me on puppies (Day 1 to Day 365) and they indicated that Rawhide chips off large sizes that they will swollow and endanger their digestive tract. The antler will not. My dog loves it and then gets tired of chewing because it takes a long time to get to the marrow in the center of the bone once they dig the initial marrow out.
I would fully recommend this product

Worth Every Penny

We have a puggle who loves to chew his toys until he breaks them. Typically he has destroyed a new toy within the first or second time playing with the toy. An employee at Petsmart recommended an antler for our "aggressive" chewer. I was skeptical but bought it anyway. I am SO GLAD we did. He loves the antler and it has kept him busy for months! We will definitely continue to buy this product. Definitely worth the extra cost!

These antler chews are amazing. My dog had a lot of tartar and completely cleaned out within one month of chewing these antlers. Very good for removing tough tarters. It is expensive ($20) but worth the money
Thank you petsmart for the recommendation.

best alternative to rawhide/bullys/marrow bones!

I bought one of these while trying to find a chew that would keep my 60 pound pit bull interested but at the same time not be eaten in 30 minutes. Rawhides are just destroyed in less than an hour, same with bullys, and marrow bones always chip. These antlers are amazing - my dog has allergies so most bones cause her to have flares, but antlers are hypoallergenic. They last forever and don't splinter/ chip even with very strong chewers. They love the taste and chewing into the bone marrow inside, no mess what so ever and no funky smells. Are really an awesome alternative for people who like to give their dogs tasty chews, absolutely worth the money will last months. Even my 10 pound chihuahua and 15 pound boston terrier love them!!
