I got the same size that my dog wears (extra large) in all of Martha's clothes, but this one is extremely small and doesn't even fit over half of him. I then tried it on my puppy, who wears a medium in everything, and she didn't fit either!! I don't know what happened, as all of the other clothes we have from Martha fit perfectly (my puppy LOVES her pink plaid pjs!!), we hope we won't have this problem again!

Great For Winter But...

I have a pom who can't handle the cold for the life of her. Her fur is short medium length. I only put the coat on her when it's really cold outside and so far, I have not seen her shiver however, after reading the other reviews, I kind of agree on a few things. The small size was too small on my pom yet the medium size one seemed to fit her like a charm so I recommend you to buy the coat a size or two bigger.

Actually, to test out what others were saying, I put the coat on a visiting chihuahua . The coat fit him comfortably but, I could also see him dirtying it when he goes to do his buisness since the underside is a bit longer then preferred. I would recommend it but not to everyone.

i have a chihuahua-papillon mix with football shoulders but shes 9-10#hard to size. it fits well and the brush fleece inside keeps her warm. its light,easy on-off.good warm jacket for going outside to bathroom and some in house on cold days. she has barely any fur-peach fur. the coat is warm,comfortable,moves well in this and for the price....super!! i'd get it again! but red? why not pink?

warm coat but sizing is off

this seems like a warm coat but sizing is not consistent with other styles. I originally purchased medium for my Lhasa Apso - a good fit in the barn coat and sweaters - but it was binding her in the shoulders and she wouldn't (couldn't?) walk in it. The large covers her long back but still binds a little in the shoulders. I like the puffer jackets much better and they have detachable hoods.

I bought this coat for my 9lb Silky Terrier male & it fits & looks great on him, however the underside is way too long b/c every time he pees he soaks the coat! I've had it for a month or so & he can no longer wear it b/c it smells SO bad! :( Very disappointing b/c it looks SO cute on him! (& yes I have tried washing it!)

Coat oddly sized

This coat is beautiful and I was eagerly anticipating something attractive, warm and comfortable for my miniature doxie but it was too short and very tight on him. He's long and normal weight.The next size up is way too big so I reluctantly gave up on it. The store clerk said a lot of people had the same experience. Very disappointed in something I expected to be very good quality and design.

This product is oddly sized (my beagle barely fits in a XL) and after a few hours of wearing the coat in the house there is already a tear. I am very disappointed in the item, especially for the price I paid.
