Our 10 year old Shar-pei, Pearl had been on a veteranary diet Purina food for at least 3 years but we noticed that she was starting to not eat it anymore. We later found out that she was then in the advanced stages of kidney failure so, in all cases, the dogs stop liking tastes of food. I started getting Into dog food ingredients and saw that there was animal digest in it and announced it to my parents. I did a ton of reaserch and found the vet deist k/d. She loved it! She was finally eating again. But after a few weeks she stopped eating again. She died within 2 weeks. We later found out that the reason she couldn't eat anymore was because of the large ulcers in her mouth and stomach. God rest her soul and thank you for this opportunity of the food to give her her last bit of power
