If your cat is eating the Z/D diet and you want to try adding cans of food, start with one can. This food has a terrible smell and gross spam-like texture with no gravy at all. My cat who usually inhales wet food won't even lick it. The dogs of course love to try to steal it, but my cat won't touch the stuff. At $2.50/can, you can find another way to enrich your kitty's diet. I can't find fault with the product though, after all, they don't have too many ingredients to work with, but this is not worth the money.
