My cat, Gizmo, had a urinary tract infection at about 1 year old. Tests revealed crystals that could be prevented in the future by feeding c/d food. Gizmo eats a can of c/d a day, with a few of the c/d kibble bites sprinkled on top. He LOVES this stuff! There is also a version that has seafood, which you can get from your vet. My cat loves both flavors.
Best of all, he is 4 years old now and has not had a single recurrence of the urinary problem. Cats are finicky, and some may not care for the flavor, but it is worth a try. My cat sure is happy with it!

Hill's c/d canned food saved our cat. He had several episodes of cystitis, including one serious episode after prescribed the similar dry food and intake only that food for months. Although expensive, it is worth it for the money saved on animal hospital bills and our cat's well-being! Thank you Hill's!

Mickey
My cat Mickey was recently diagnosed with a pretty serious urinary infection. The informed me he most likely will have problems the rest of his life and will need to be on a specific diet. My vet gave me (which means it must be good quality) 3 cans of the science diet, prescription wet food and the c/d. My cat who loves wet food would not go near it and I was told he could have nothing else especially during the first week. He was starving in a weeks time he maybe ate 1/2 of a can. I would mix a little of the science diet minced which he loves and still he wouldn't go near it. I also have 2 other cats who are gluttons and they wouldn't eat it either I don't know what's in it but when my cats won't eat something that's saying something. On the positive side they love the Science Diet minced and the dry food as well! I don't want to be totally negative...
Pros: high quality
Cons: Taste, smell

We were desperate..........two 13 year old cats, one with serious urinary difficulities. We were recommended this as top of the line.....Gracie and Midnight would not go near the bowls. I returned 7 cans unused and the other went into the garbage disposal. Had been told that they might not like it.......they hated it. Couldn't even get past the smell, which was difficult for me as well. AWFUL! It was worth a try.....we are still searching for something they will eat for their urinary health. This product might work for others......but we were unsuccessful.
