I ordered the medium for my medium sized dog and the item received would fit a chihuahua. If you really want to buy one for your dog, buy 2 sizes larger than you normally would.
The sizing guide provided by PetSmart is absolutely no help, it is a mix of sizes and makes it even more confusing when placing an order.
I would have to order an EX Large to fit my 30 lb dog, who is tall and slender.
Most medium items like halters, collars, car harnesses etc are too large, so I expected the medium hoodie to fit or be slightly large on her.
Being too small to even fit over her head disappointed me tremendously, as I live in an area where the evenings get very cold.
Also, the material is only as thick as a t-shirt, but is listed in the sweater and jacket section.
