at first, my rats wouldn't go anywhere near it, but one day i placed them in so they could explore and now they won't leave! it's soooo soft to the touch and seems (and proves) to be really comfy for my babies. they haven't destroyed it yet either, and they like to play in it pretty good at night, so thumbs up to that. only complaint is that the straps are a little longer than i'd like them to be, even on the smallest setting, but it's an easy fix. other than that, best hammock i've seen on the market!
